SOURCE: headphones not playing in iPod

This is either cause by a damaged headphone socket in the iPod or a loose connection. The only way to solve it will involve opening the iPod case and inspecting the daughter board that the headphone socket is on.

SOURCE: unable to listen to my wireless

They need a minimum level of signal to switch on the transmitter.
Verify if it works on yet another system.
Make sure you have the right output on your Samsung.
Try to increase the output level of your Samsung...(up the volume, but it may be a fixed output..)

SOURCE: my sennheiser hd 212pro headphones

I own a pair of Sennheiser 520II headphones with a similar problem. One speaker element is out due to a broken wire. I think the wire can be re-soldered - if done carefully. The wire is hair thin and you may need a magnifying glass to see it clearly. But it just takes a cheap soldering iron and a lot of patience.
And of course, a small piece of similar wire to reconnect the broken leads (which you can either buy a Radio Shack or cannabilize from any cheap broken speaker and use the wire in it as a replacement).

I'm gonna give it a try, since the speaker element appears to be in very good condition otherwise.

Left speaker not working

I don't believe it to be a cable or plug problem, so it sounds like it's a speaker problem. I look up the review of these and it could have some kind of circuit built into each side. If it does it could be that. As they are not cheap headphones by the look of it, perhaps worth repairing. But if the speaker has gone, it might be as much as a new pair.

I had the same problem, and it is a very simple fix, the cable connection can fall out of the speaker piece on the right side.

I have made a blog post with the steps for removing the cover on the Sennheiser HD570.

Left headphone not working

what is the source of the audio? I would start by checking that first. switch sources to see if the transmitter is the problem if the transmitter is only getting the right side signal, that's all you'll hear...hope this helps!

I have the RS120. It worked ok for about 2 years and then the right side stopped working. The left side works just fine. I opened up the sides and it seems that there is no broken solders or anything...

well it seems your right earpiece is started to get broken...clearly saying that the coil has static and would result to an open coil.....try to replace with a new one...good day...

You could have a look at my tip on repairing dodgy cables and plugs on headphones. Though if it will be any good with your type of headphone, is up to you to evaluate.

No sound coming through my Sennheiser wireless headphones

Turning the transmitter on and off (Fig. 5)
Turn on the sound source. This automatically activates the
transmitter and the green LED “ON/OFF” lights up. If the sound
source is turned off, the transmitter is automatically deactivated
after approx. 3 minutes (the LED “ON/OFF” goes off).
Note: The automatic level control only functions if the volume of the
sound source is sufficient.
