Wiring diagram

The only place I know of fora wiring diagram for a Guardian is at the local branch office. The new name for the Electrolux is now AERUS.
Check your phone book.
There is a fuse wire that runs from the cordwinder to the triac circuit board inside the vacuum canister. You have to take the six screws out of the bottom. Open the bag door and lift up on the top handle to remove the top part.
It is vere advisable to take your vacuum to the branch office that has a qualified service manager. You can do more harm than good on the inside of the machine.

I need a good wiring diagram for my Oreck xl vac

Chuck,
I do not have a diagram for you but I can tell you how they normally are hooked up. When you have the motor sitting in it's normal position the black wire from the power cord will attach to the terminal closest to where the cord comes in. There should also be a black dot next to the terminal. The two white wires will connect together and they will go on a terminal on the other side of the motor that also has a black dot next to it. The remaining black wire should connect to a terminal next to the white wires or at least on the same side of the motor as the white wires. Hope this helps you.

My home has a central vacuum system hook-up but no vacuum installed. My friend upgraded his central system and gave me his Eureka Mega Boss central vacuum system and the accessories, including the pow

The power head requires 120 Volts. Some hoses have a receptacle in the handle for the power head plug, and the hose has a cord at the wall inlet end that plugs into a receptacle. Some hoses have a plug at the wall inlet end that plugs into a 120Volt receptacle built into the inlet. The hose plugs into this receptacle when you push the hose into the inlet. The power for this built-in receptacle is wired with line voltage when the system is installed.

I nead a wirring diagram to fit a four connection power switch to a Kirby G4 cleaner

Hi,

There isn't a wiring diagram for these. There is only a switch, a motor and a light, so a schematic isn't really required.

I'm assuming you've made the fatal mistake of removing the wiring from the old switch and have forgotten where to re-connect them. It's also not very helpful that all the wires are white, so I can't really tell you to connect red to "x", black to "y", etc.

The really important connections are the power cord and the motor brush connections. You can't get the power cord wrong as the plug is shaped to only allow connection at one orientation: I've drawn you a diagram to show 3 of the 4 connections:

belectric_62.jpg
As long as the motor brushes are correct, there wont be any problem. If these are the wrong way around, the motor will run in reverse and will blow instead of s/uck.

The headlight can be wired either way around so if these connections are switched, it shouldn't matter. You have a 50/50 chance of getting it back the same way as it was originally and if there is any problem with the light, you can easily switch these wires over.

Hope this helps. Please post back if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I need a wiring diagram for a rainbow d4c

Are you talking about the power switch. The new power switches have 4 wires sautered to the power switch, where the old ones have 6 wires that slip in and lock into the power switch.

The blue ones are for your power cord, and the black ones are for your vacuum motor, and your power nozzle plug.

Secure one motor wire and one power nozzle plug wire to one of the black wires out of the new switch, and secure the other two, to the other black one from the power switch. It does not matter which ones that you match together. Secure one of each of the power cord to the two blue wires from the power switch. It does not matter which one of them goes to each wire neither. It is AC so power goes both ways.

Use twist on wire nuts to secure the wires to each other, and put some electrical tape around each of them, after you secure them securly with the wire nuts.

It is best to secure the cluster of wires to each other with a pull tie, after you are finished wiring everything.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

Power Switch

This is not that hard:
1. - remove gasket (it is glued so you may end up damaging it)
2. - remove 4 screws holding baffle

3. - under it you will see 4 more screws holding cap
5ca57b7.jpg
4. - Four more screws and you will remove cap cover
3faddd0.jpg
5. - cut the cable tie, make a note how wires are connected, use flat screw driver to press on the latches holding the switch in while pushing onto the switch OUT. Tension will not let the latches pop back in.

6. - reassemble in the reverse order.
NOTE:
Switch - if you have old style switch installed you will need to push something into each hole next to the wires to release them. There is a cooper lip in each hole that you have to bend a bit to release each wire. Installing new style switch (with 4 wires) - attach one power cord wire to one blue switch wire and another to another blue switch wire. Attach one motor and one power nozzle cord receptacle wire to one black and another pair to another black wire.
Gasket - use weatherstripping glue to glue motor gasket back (you can get some in almost any automotive store)
Need parts - visit our store HERE.

No diagrams - sorry. It is Rexair, Inc. intellectual property and we can not use them...

Good Luck
:-)

Replacing power cord

I replace one on my U6439-900. I took the back cover off and had to cut the wires and put new wire nuts on. Then I secured them really well with electricians tape. Might help to even put on a zip tie around the wiring. Hope that helps.
