Running slow wat to do

Delete your temp internet files, delete cookies, do a systems defrag then shutdown completely and restart the computer.
When the computer restarts, do a complete system scan with your anti-virus (updated), If you haven't already, download (MBAM) malwarebytes.org, the free version and do a complete scan with that. Your system should be good to go. If it's still running slow, try doing an error check on your HDD, you could have bad sectors depending on how old the computer is.

Hi..my presario CQ40 keeps on rebooting and sometime hang when turn on the power button..please help..thanks

If you are encountering this kind of problem, you may try to check for conflicting softwares.

Look if how many Antivirus program installed on your pc. 2 or more antivirus would really slows down the pc.
Check on control panel
check on program files and program data

Do a disk clean up and delete temp files on your computer.

Disk clean up
start->all programs->accessories->system tool->disk clean up

deleting temp files and shell cookies
start->run->type shell:cookies->press enter->=ctrl+A->shift+delete
start->run->type %temp%->press enter-> ctrl+A->shift+delete

You may also do a system restore
start->all programs->accessories->system tool->system restore

You may also check for any malicious software, run full scan using your Anti Virus program

I hope it works for you.

1.Watch videos at off peak times, if possible 2.Do not run other programs while watching videos. They slow down computer ingeneral by making use of memory. 3.Add RAM on your computer. More RAM will make easy execution of heavy programson your system. 4.Get better and speedy internet connection. Talk to your ISP in this regard. 5.Regularly clean windows registry. Windows registry is vital place that storesinformation for important computing functions. A congested or corrupted windowsregistry makes computer slow that causes YouTube like freezes. For this, getthe best registry cleaner RegInOut cleaner and optimizer. Use it once in afortnight for fast computing to avoid YouTube freezes and system slow down.

My computer is slow. What can I do without

Depends- where is it exactly slow? is it while surfing the internet, or when running progrmas? either way, you can make it go faster.
If your internet is slow, you should scan your computer for viruses and spyware using suitable programs(for example- avast anti virus or spybot). If you still experience the same problem I would advise you to delete the computer after backing it up, and then installing a new copy of Windows.

if your problem is with programs running slowly- I can advise you to download this software, which can extremely help- CCleaner

  2. Depending on the Internet Explorer version installed on your computer, on the General tab you may see a section with options to either delete temporary Internet Explorer files or the Browsing History.
  3. If you see the Browsing History section, select the Delete button.
