Make sure that your bobbin winder is not on. You don't say what kind of machine you have but usually the post or spindle that you put your bobbin on to wind it up should be pushed to the left to release it. Try that first. If it's an old machine, the belt might be slipping and it might need a belt adjustment by a repairman.

About my Baby Lock Serger 750 it is all correctly threaded motor operates but wil not stitch ,this has just occurred on my machine ,I have tried everything .any body help please

Please give us more information on what results are you getting. Is the machine running, the needles stitching, the loopers moving, the knife working? Is it not chaining? Exactly, what is it doing that it shouldn't, or what is it not doing that it should?

If the machine is not working at all, perhaps the door is not latched properly. There is a safety mechanism that will not allow the machine to run unless it is latched.

I have a pfaff 261 when the knee pressor is engaged the motor runs but the needle doesn't engage. If i turn the wheel by hand the needle will engage.

First, stop running the motor if the machine is not operating. Most likely the old oil has stuck things together. Continued operation of the motor in such condition could burn up the motor or break a gear.

Pfaff 130 wheel sticks

Will not zigzag or decorative stitches New to these newer plastic style...

Motor running but no stitching is made.

Is the needle going up & down?

If so, remove the thread.

Replace the needle with a brand-new needle.

Clean any lint/debris from the bobbin area, feed dogs, under the needleplate. Oil as recommended in the owner's manual.

Always RAISE the presser foot when threading. Rethread the machine from the beginning and verify the thread path is correct.

Retest the machine.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, there is probably a needle/hook timing issue. Take it for service.

If the needle is not going up & down, something in your machine has seized. Resist the urge to run the motor when the machine parts are not operating. Depending on your machine make/model (if it is mechanical, it probably could use a good service cleaning & oiling), if it is a computerized machine, you should probably take it for professional service.

Why doesn't it sew?

Check to see if the bobbin case is in correctly. Jamming occurs when something isn't in machine properly. Try taking out the needle & manually turning the hand wheel slowly. It could be just a bent needle too.

Sewing machine motor will not run after attempting

Overload Viking:
The machine has a built in overload protector, if your needle can’t penetrate, it may stop the machine from working for a few minutes. Just wait it will reset automatically. Then, try a Sharp needle (denim needle is ideal) and be sure to Never Never reverse sew on heavy fabric, your needle will bend and hit the needle plate, use the FIX button for knotting (it really does work).
