Computer tech supporT Can someone please help me? I recently was unable to access my electronic health records account on Office Ally.com as I prepare all of my daily patient notes electronically during my lunch break at a local library. I use internet explorer 7.0 version for my web browser. I cannot use chrome or Mozilla to prepare my notes as the interface on these 2 browsers doesn't work with the notes. I am able to access the gmail and office ally (both of which use both a user name and a password) at my work, just blocks away. I was able to access both at the same library ON MY SAME INSPIRON E1705 LAPTOP 3 weeks ago with both wireless and hard wire. I am still able to access the accounts on the same computer, at my home and at my work just blocks away using both wireless and hard wire CAT 5. I attempted to access the accounts at the library yesterday with a hardwire--CAT 5 vs wireless, thinking that might help. It did not, even though I was able to access the same accounts just blocks away at my worksite. I talked to the tech at the library as maybe some of the internal settings had been changed (my office ally tech told me this was probably the case). She told me no settings had been changed and the library does not block these sites. I confirmed this as she set up her laptop, opened up both gmail and office ally and I was able to access my personal accounts on her laptop, on wireless. I also accessed both accounts at the library using her desktop computer. I am also able to access all other websites at the library--on both wireless and hard wire on my computer. I deleted all cookies and temporary internet files as instructed by a tech at the office ally office, reopened a new internet explorer and was still unable to access the accouts as I get an error "windows internet explorer cannot open this"--there is a red X around the globe when I try to access the accounts Please help me sort this out as I am unable to get my work done during lunch now, rendering me an hour behind everyday as I depend on accessing these accounts to get my work done everyday, away from distractions. thank you Julie Huber Clinical Director, Physical Therapist Water & Sports Physical Therapy

First thing I would try and do is upgrade to internet explorer 8. I would download the install for IE8, don't install right away. First uninstall IE7 and then install the downloaded IE8 and see if that resolves the problem.

    Have you tried running system restore to a restore point when it was working for you? That is your next option.

Network Access Protection (NAP) is a Microsoft technology for controlling network access of a computer host based on the system health of the host, first introduced in Windows Server 2008.

Recently someone received an email that appeared to come from my email address but I did not send the email and no one has access to my computer other than me. Also I do not give my password to anyone....


Generally no! But are you sure someone did not see the passord you typed?

Check in the sent box of your account to see if there is a record of the mail being sent in the SENT BOX. If not then someone used your account elsewhere. Public PC's are often risky if you dont log out They also have key loggers on them put there by hackers to gain access to accounts of all kinds.

Change your password to a longer sequence and use ascii characters It makes it more diffoicult to crack

I can not enter my hotmail a/c from my computer


There are many possible reasons why you cannot access your hotmail account. These include:

1. Firewall settings - if you are trying to access your account from your office, it is possible your network administrator disable access to hotmail. If you can access your account outside of the office, then this is probably the case. You need to talk to your network admin to grant you access to hotmail if you need it for office purposes.

2. You or someone else have entered a wrong password to the account and it has been locked out. Try to login again but this time click on the "forgot password" link. Check the e-mai that you used to create a hotmail account as instructions on how to re-access your account will be sent there.

clear the cache or contact yahoo via email or phone to assist you with tech support and or your account has a issue that makes it not want to open do to browser or something if u have different browsers or use someone else computer to test...

eBay has been pretty good when I had the occasional glitch; email the problem to their tech support people or call them.
I wanted to give you a link but it contained my info after signing in so try to sign in and choose the Help function and then contact to access the various possibilities.
My account was hijacked a couple of years ago and they worked hard with me over several days to correct the problem without losing my eBay account completely since I didn't want to sacrifice years of 100% ratings.
