Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have an Iball mouse usb type. Suddenly it has stopped selecting unless I press shift. Sometimes it selects erratically too. It has also become very fast although I have put the opening speed of folders as slowest. for example if I click once to open the browser windows then 5 to 10 windows will open simultaneously.

Try going into Control Panel, then get to the Hardware folder, pick Mouse, and go to Driver, and update the driver- it could be corrupt.
It sounds like a corrupt driver, and that's where we should start. Of course, the mouse could be bad. I see you have a mac, and I've never had one of those, but get to the folder that has your mouse and reinstall the driver, if you have that option. Hope this helps.

My blackberry torch just suddenly stop working the screen after 7days from my purchase date the screen turned to black while i can see the keyboard has lights.

It may be locked up. Take the battery out for about a minute and then put it back in. If it boots up and works you are fixed. If that doesn't work there are other resets:
Soft Reset
Double-Soft Reset
Press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE . The screen will go blank for a few seconds. When the screen comes back on, immediately press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE again.

If none of that works a data wipe and reset is indicated:

1. From the home screen, press the Menu button.
2. Select Options.
3. Select Security Options.
4. Select Security Wipe.
5. Check the items you wish to wipe.
6. Type blackberry in the box.
7. Select Wipe.

Follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work its fried and I hope its still under warranty

Logitech with invisible optic After replacing battery, mouse became very erratic, sometimes moving, sometimes not. When "reset" is pushed it works for awhile then becomes erratic again.

Could be a bad batteries. I only use Duracell in mine, however, mine is a Microsoft. Also, check the manufacturers website for driver updates.

I have a Dell laptop computer with Windows Vista Basic. The mouse on the screen has become very sensitive and sometimes it clicks on an item when it scrolls across the screen. How can I make it less...

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize > Mouse Pointers . The Mouse Properties settings window will open.
  2. Alternately, click Start and type Mouse in the Search field, and select Mouse when it becomes available in the program list. The Mouse Properties settings window will open.
  3. Select the Device Settings tab. Select the Synaptics TouchPad device and click Settings . In the Properties for Synaptics TouchPad window, expand the Sensitivity topic.
  4. Select the PalmCheck option to adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad to avoid erratic cursor movement caused by accidental touching of the pad during normal typing.
  5. Select the Touch Sensitivity option to adjust how much finger pressure is required to move the mouse on the screen and how responsive the touchpad is to taps.

My mouse suddenly stopped operating during uploading of photos from a Kodak camera

Is there a blinking light on the receiver? Many times the mouse doesn't work because it has become un-sync'd with the USB receiver. Check on the sides or bottom of the mouse and see if there is a small button. Press it and try the mouse again. Let me know if this helps!
