Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer
It all depends on what was damaged. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can totally protect against lightning since it's high voltage and varying current and too fast. One has to get into the printer and try to determine what damage has been done.
Often, it is not feasible to fix, since extensive damage can be done to the delicate ICs.
Good luck, but this will not be easy to fix, unless you get lucky and have just power supply damage (which is possible).
