I have a kenwood ddx812 that won't power on when the car is started. The little red security light just keeps blinking...It used to work just fine, what could I do to fix?

thats the security alarm light letting you no its working

Call Kenwood they can give you a code to enter by using the remote

kindly count the blinking led to diagnose where the fault came from..

also try the initial check....open the back cover and inspect the power supply board for any bulged capacitors inside..

Just unlocked my boyfriends using the reset, ATT , src buttons. Hold all 3 at same time & it will reset the system

check to make sure you are still getting power to the red wire. if not check your fuses.

that red triangle falsh is a power warning take a meter to the accesory wire going to the radio ( its red for the love of god please tell me you know that) but anyways see whats happening there odds are you have a faulty wire it should read 12-14v dc. when you try and meter it for resistance to ground never should you see a ground spike if you do you have a problem.
