If you mean it happens every time after 5 minutes, then there must be a program running in the background which isn't noticeable or which you haven't noticed. After it's switched On, leave it for 5 minutes doing nothing, only leave Task Manager opened and watch the Processes list the the CPU Usage. I would also like to know which antivirus program or similar programs are installed on your computer.

It's always important to first diagnose the Softwares/Programs before dealing with the Hardware(s). It could be Hardware as well, but since you didn't mention anything about software or programs, let's try just one time as a verification.

Please don't forget to click the "Show Processes from all users" in the Processes section of the Task Manager. If you see any program which utilizes the maximum % of CPU, then note and terminate if possible (End Process Tree) and see if that helps or not. Definitely you'll be able to notice something in the Task Manager.

Let me know the result. All the Best.

SOURCE: safe mode....unsafe.

Your PC is stuck in safe mode startup

I would suggest using the Windows Disk, if you have one, go through normal windows installation. At the point of installation just after pressing F8 it will detect windows exists and offer you a repair option press R to repair

Go to the BIOS setup and find the Boot Seuence. Select Hard Disk first and if Hard Disk in blank, Boot from CD and install Operating System. This error usually comes when BIOS do not find the Boot Record on Hard Disk. ([email protected])

HI.

Try this...

Go to Bios settings start pc,, press DEL or F2 depending on the brand of your motherboard to enter BIOS setup.

Check your settings concerning Integrated Graphics. some motherboards may allow memory to be extented.

select your graphics settings... see first if it can be extended. if yes. save and exit. restart pc... and voila

Case contrary.... Install windows xp and correct drivers... it may work smoothly..

Good luck

Hi All

In the BIOS, disable everything you don't need or have on the computer:
Floppy controller - don't need.
Parallel printer ports? disable for now.
Serial ports? disable for now
You may also want to remove all but one stick of RAM.
If it still fails, change to another stick of RAM.
It will work.

More ram and vdeo card

it sounds as if your MoBo is seeing the video adapter as a source of ram. if that is the case, then installing memory in units of 1Gb will cause a stick to not be seen, therefore utilized. you may want to refer to you manual for memory limits and poosible comparibility issues. they are usually quite in depth. also, make sure that they are all the same make model and speed. these issues have wreaked havoc on the prettiest of pc's.
