My 2006 poulan wild thing chain saw 42cc will not hit at all i am getting fuel

check for spark, if you have spark pour a very small amount of fuel down the spark plug hole, if it runs for a few seconds and stops. You have a fuel problem. If there is no spark, try a new plug, if still no spark you have an electrical problem. All is assuming you have compression. If no compression your motor needs refurbishing.

I have a poulan wild thing,and i can:t get it to start,any suggestions.thank you robert hollenbeck emai,jiggsh@yahoo.com

Things to check, drain the fuel tank and re fill with fresh fuel oil mix, remove the fuel filter from the fuel tank and replace, check the condition of the fuel hose up to the carb, if cracked then replace, remove the spark plug, rest it on top of the cylinder ( away from the plug hole ) crank the engine and look for a spark, if that is ok, remove the muffler and check the condition of the piston through the exhaust port, any signs of scuffing and it will need to come apart to assess the damage.

What is the gas/oil mixture for the poulan wild thing chain saw please?

Use a quality 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil. Poulan recommends a good quality 2-cycle air-cooled oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1 (A 40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 onces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). When mixing fuel, follow the instructions printed on the container. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.. Be Safe!

Clean carb. Pull apart and soak in carb cleaner. Blow dry with air nozzle. Make sure air filter is clean and plenty of air. Make sure spark plug is not gapped wrong and running to hot. Make sure oil/fuel mixture is accurate
