Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Hi I have an old but beautiful Philips radio nr 22RH752 purchased around 1977. It still works ok but one of the music box outlets in the back does not work anymore. I have a feeling it is only a small thing and am looking for someone who can fix it. I have a map of the electronics and the Philips booklet. I live in Brisbane (southside) - anything nearby where I can take for repair? Thanks for your help.

Want to convert analogue tv to digital

You need a digital converter to receive digital signals on an analogue TV (old type). If you are using an outside antenna you can purchase the box from places like Walmart, Kmart, Radio Shack for around $40. If you have cable TV or Sat (Dish or Direct TV) you need one of their boxes to convert the signal back to analogue. The Walmart type boxes WILL NOT WORK for cable or Sat TV.

Vw sharan radio proble

HI Youssef
i believe that when you put the volume up to the max, you blow up the main fuse, because the new radio with volume up to the max consume more amps than the fuse is set to for the original radio.
now you have to look into the fuse boxes and replace the fuse, this will sort out the radio and the door lock problems as i hope.

Good luck

How to download music from computer to my philips gogear audio player

Transfer music via Windows Media Player 10:
  1. Hook up your GoGear to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
  2. Plug your GoGear into a power outlet with the supplied AC adapter/charger.
  3. Launch Windows Media Player 10.

Note: Once the device is connected to the computer, all audio or radio playback will stop.
  4. Check and make sure that the Create folder hierachy on device option is enabled in Windows Media Player. Go to Tools>Options. Select the Devices tab and then highlight GoGear Audio and click Properties

  5. Click "OK" to close the windows.
  6. Click the "Sync" tab.
  7. In the "Items to Copy" pane, from the drop-down list, click the playlist, category, or other item that you want to copy.

When radio is plugged in only the gfi outlets work not the radio.

Mines similar, outlets work but radio will only work on battery. Radio will not work on mains only. Charger works at same time so ok. SORTED IT TONIGHT. Inside the charger inside the box there is a fuse (240v 2A) I think, tiny radio fuse. Changed that tonight and radio now works on mains only or battery. Very awkwark job but better than watching a load of cr** on tv. Hope this helps someone.

Need an fm antenna

If it uses a simple terminal clip (similar to a speaker connection) then extra speaker wire or lamp cord thats laying around works beautifully. But you could always visit a Radio Shack to get the proper stuff.

TV SCREEN SHUTS OFF AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES BUT I STILL HEAR THE SOUND AND A RED LIGHT COMES ON IN AND THE LAMP INDICATOR IS ON

Our philips 50" Did the same and it was the fan that cools the bulb. Philips was not able to replace the fan so they gave me all of my money back $ 1600. We got to keep the tv and what we did is take the back (lower half off) and spin the fan with our finger and it works. I usually only need to spin the fan if the room is cold, its more a winter proplem than summer. You could buy an old tv for parts I saw some on ebay. I have purchased my 2nd Philips 60" and they both are great. I got my 2nd one at Goodwill and all it needed was a bulb. Beautiful Picture.
