I hate to be stupid but but my girlfriend inherited a JD 345 and I am not sure if you put water or antifreeze in it and where to pu it. I think it is a white reservoir beside the oil filler but don't want to make a mistatek. also, how much does it hold?

Howdy, If you mean a JD345 lawn tractor, it does not indicate the presence of a coolant system at all. Here is the link to the manual for that model:

If you are speaking of some other vehicle, the white plastic reservoir will have a fill line on the side and the cap often has the words coolant only faintly stamped on it. Once you have identified the coolant reservoir, it is best to use at least 50 percent antifreeze.
If in doubt, you can carefully smell, to identify what goes where.
Perhaps some bit of this will be helpful:)
