Question about Maytag MSD2756G Side by Side Refrigerator
There is a rod like thermometer. You might check it and make sure that it is clear. Take a damp rag and clean it again. It could have cleaning solution.

Cold air flows from freezer to the refrigerator section.
*)First Check the back wall or floor of the freezer section for frost.
Temperature control board can be defective:
The Freezer(evaporator) fan runs and circulates the freezer air to the refrigerator section. This fan is controlled by the Temperature control board. This fan should should stop after some time.It should not fully run.It will run when the defrost timer is active.
and check the damper is opening and closing through here only the air flows from freezer to refrigerator
*)Defrost timer is embedded on the temperature control board. So test the board and check it is defective. The defrost timer activates the thermostat, that is to warm the refrigerator. If it is defective it will not send the pulse.
*)Heater and defrost thermostat is located behind the back wall of the freezer section. This only controls the Heat. After the Defrost timer stops it makes the system warm.Defrost thermostat could be defective so test it.
*)Take the back cover off in the freezer and see if the ice is packed because of this the defroster is not getting the signal to defrost,Temperature control board defective.

Hello John Wood - From what you have describes it sounds like the damper door might be open causing the temperature to be too cold. Use a mirror to look at damper door at the rear of compartment and use a hair dryer on damper door to deice for 5 to 10 minutes. Allow 24 hours and if the temperature is still too cold, then I would have a professional look at the damper door for replacement.
