SOURCE: craftsman 1/2' impact gun

Use a good grease. Don't pack it, just lube the parts. If it is all together, put in about half an ounce of air tool oil through the plug.

SOURCE: i have a ir 5/8 drive impact #2905vw599 and need parts

the best advice i can give, after being involved with rattle guns for 30 years is for you to take it to an air tool service centre , ithink the main parts you will need willbe o rings and they will have access to the parts required ,even if they be after market, believe me ,that is the way to go .

Yup, there is a procedure for that.
1. Use a good penetrating lubricant and soak well.
2. Make sure the motor cylinder (item #22) is installed and pressing against the rear endplate (item# 27), this will keep it straight while attempting to pull the rotor from the motor housing.
3. Grab a set of Vise Grip pliers, lock on to the end of the rotor. Tip install the hammer case screws, thread them all the way down the will give you a place to tap with a hammer and not damage the housing. Depending how old or how beat up you tool is you might have to slightly heat the housing with a propane torch to expand the housing, only do this as a last resort.
Ideally it should slide right out.

Ingerroll rand 2132g how do I oil my air impact wrench?

Most I.R. impacts require grease in the hammer mechanism (clutch) and oil in the air motor.
To lubricate the air motor simply add oil through the air inlet about 3 to 6 drops at every use.
To lubricate the hammer (clutch) mechanism you will need a grease gun with a needle, the grease fitting (item# 17) is located on the hammer case assembly (item# 15) 2 or 3 small squirts will sufficiently lube the hammer (clutch) mechanism.
With heavy use grease the tool once a month, with light use 2 to 3 times a year.
Follow this link for the parts list, also indicates the grease needed:

I have model 261 3/4 in drive impact gun. When in tighten mode it doesn't work all the time. It does work and then it doesn't, all you hear is air.

Air motors have plastic fins in them that make it turn. They slide in and out of slots on the motor. You can tear it apart and clean them, but if you don't put all parts back in just right, gun will not work at all. I usually try to run wd-40 thru the gun. It is messy, but the more the better. You can also use carb cleaner (brake cleaner will eat paint, rubber, anything pastic) and then oil with air tool oil. Careful of the cleaner it is flammable!

I have a IR 2130 Impactool 1/2 in drive I just got it used it seems to work ok but the torque seems to low I can hold it with my hand and it will not turn or take the lug nuts off the car is the torque...

This gun shouldnt have an adjustment. If you cfm's from your compressor are enough. Too low cfm's mean lower torque. If cfm is high enough for the gun rating then I would say the gun is bad.

IR 261 air wrench vanes sticking

NOT exactly a solution, but may help you with your problem: I'm also a Owner of a 261 ( In fact 90% 0f all my Air Tools are IR) that I used everyday when I was working on Terex Equipment & EMD Locomotives. I "Upgraded" the Major Parts inside my Gun to the "Industrial Line" rather than the Automotive Parts since the 261 is classified as a Automotive Tool..and Installing an Adjustable Regulator on the Gun Helped a Lot too...by "tweeking" my Gun out, I was Pumping almost as much torque as some of the 1" Guns...
FYI: Don't Over Oil as the Oil will absorb into the Vanes, causing them to Expand in thickness "Permanently"...just 2-3 drops of a Hi-Grade Air Tool Oil before starting the Day is enough...sounds to me like your Picking up some contamination someplace??
