SOURCE: Over heating
Are you sure it is overheating? Maybe you have the wrong speaker load and it is reacting to that. Is the unit shutting off when it "over heats"? Are you bridging and how many speakers are you using in what configuration (series/parallel)? Since you have two "new" amps doing the same problem and neither fan is turning on then I think you have a hookup problem and not a fan problem. Since you say you are using a large gauge of power wire (I'll assume you have an adequate connection to the chassis/ground) then that leaves only the speaker loading. I think you need to fix this problem quick before it blows your amps though. Good luck.

The amp may have defective components, but it is still salvageable. first of all lets discuss what is happening. The amp is cutting off because of excessive current flow. which means one or some of you components have become thermally sensative. You can find out which components they are by using a can of cool mist or any other component cooling spray. this will allow you to find the problem quickly. Now in addition to this you may have to forego the tricks and do some real troubleshooting. Get a schematic of the device and try to take voltage readings to see which components are at fault.

the subs cant handle all the power you got it set on turn off all the settings and then turn off your car and remove your face plate and then it should be ok. it does that because the subs cant handle the settings you might just have them a lil high
