This is most likely a refresh rate issue.

Reboot your computer and hit F8 before windows starts to load safe mode.

In safe mode, go to control panel, display and then settings.
Change you monitor refresh rate to 60Hz and reboot.

Depending on your windows version it may be under advanced in settings.

If this doesn't help it may be a hardware issue.

SOURCE: My monitor has started clicking at about 120 times

b dodge, Keep this in mind when you do your video clip research at YOUTUBE!!! Your "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp, back-lit lcd monitor" isn't any different than ANY OTHER BRAND in it's basic design and operation!!! After you view some videos you will be able to make the big decision!! Attempt CHEAP DIY repair or just trade for new wide screen 2010-2011 unit. For more info on DIY repair try reading and follow link you find in the fixya profiles and testimonials of "budmrtn", "buddymc" and "12fixlouie". Follow links you find there!!! Then and only then, come back to this (your original posting) and rate this (my response) on the fixya site as to it's usefulness to solving you unit's problem. Do your research first, so you won't get ripped-off for $100 when the DIY repair may only cost $10.
Best of luck with investigation/repair. 12fixlouie

The TV works but the screen is completely blank. What do I do to fix this?

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Created a 300 picture slide show on my pc. the screen will go blank after 30 minutes and i have to hit the return key or touch the pad. Is this a sleep setting issue or kodak?

I suspect you have a screen saver set up that blanks the computer screen after 30 minutes.
If you are running Window XP, right-click your mouse on the desktop, choose Properties, from the Display Properties dialog, click the Screen Saver tab, then in the Wait box, increase the amount of time before the screen saver activates. Click the OK button when you are through.
Good luck,

Monitor starts, about three minutes no picture but

Hello,

It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display screen goes blank after few seconds, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Westinghouse 22 lcd monitor. faint click and went

More likely the filter caps failed and may have taken out the inverter fuse and the MOSFET in the inverter circuits also. yoo need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Find the button that says DEGAUSS push it...
next try to increase your refresh rate of the monitor which is controlled by the video software in you computer...right click in a blank area go to properties at the bottom click-> on that hit the Settings tab look for ->advanced box towards the bottom right->click on the Monitor tab -> in the middle it will say "Screen refresh rate" use the drop down arrow and select at least 70-75 Hertz.
this just may stop it from jumping about...good luck and hope this help...

The monitor gone blank white light nothing else

Check this FixYa thread:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t1372203-white_screen

It might be a loose cable or perhaps the video controller is bad. If the unit is out of warranty, you might be able to try to fix the cable.

Acer AL1711 17" LCD Monitor goes blank without warning

The need to reboot your computer to get your monitor working places the blame totally in the computer. You have a virus, or the computer is overheating and shutting down for thermal reasons.
