SOURCE: URGENT~no clue how to reinstall transport bolts for moving washer

The transport bolts go in from the back panel through the 4 holes (which may be covered by plastic plugs).
Remove the screws that secure the top panel from the rear. Slide and lift the top panel off.
To be honest I forget which bolts (long or short) go in the top and bottom holes but if you insert them you can see from the top which ones will line up with the washer tub.
To line up the bolts with holes in the tub you will need to slightly lift the tub. Tighten the bolts gradually (try to keep them going in straight) and verify if the tub is secure by trying to move it.
Replace the top panel.

If you still need help post your model number and I will try to assist you further.
Good luck!

Washer moves during spin cycle

If this is a newly installed washing machine have you taken out the four big bolts on the back of the machine? It holds the drum to prevent it from moving during transportation when it was delivered. if machine runs during fast spin it will make the machine vibrate heavily causing it to move

During spin, machine moves!

Hi,

Did you remove the transport rods from the back of the unit? this will cause the unit to jump around a lot when it goes into the spin cycle. Also make sure the feet are all level and the unit doesn't rock from side to side.

The long one go on the bottom and the short one go on top the hole for the shipping bolts are on the back might have a clear plastic cover over the holes on the back panel there is only one way to put them in start by hand tighten the bolts with nothing in the drum the holes should line up one you fill the catch and get hard to turn start using a wrench when it is done try shaking the inner tub it should not move all the shipping bolts do is keep the tub from slapping around inside the cabinet and breaking things Good luck

had the same problem after a move. After intense research, discovered transport bolts were installed to support the drum suspension system. Remove all four bolts and this should solve the spin problem.
