Make sure you have selected the audio input with the input selector. The audio input where you plug in your audio player must be the input you selected by the input selector

I need to reprogram the remote. Purchased a floor model Panasonic SC-PT480 and the remote is not fully synched with the player (controls on/off and volume only). How can I reprogram the remote?

The remote cannot be reprogrammed to operate the SC-HT70 as all functions are already set. If your remote isn't operating your equipment as expected then the chances are the remote has become faulty.

The remote can be programmed to operate other equipment as detailed on Page 42 of the manual below.

I am trying to connect my Panasonic sc-pt480 to my desktop is this possible

Yes. Each should treat the other as an audio device within the unspecified sound capabilities of your PC. Get it? A sound card is no different than any other audio device except you have software controls that need to be set to us its inputs and outputs.

I bought a new panasonic home cinema model number sc-pt480eb-k. Its supposed to be 1000 watts but the output it doesn't match that output at all even with all the speakers on. What maybe the cause of this...

Hype on the part of the maufacturer's published specs.

http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SCPT480.PDF

Look at the Power Comsumption spec on page 22. "90 watts"

According to this post, 45 watts...

It would be a miracle indeed to extract 1000 watts of sustained power in any form, be it heat, light, motion or sound from a unit that uses anything less than 1000 watts of electricity, assuming 100% efficiency. Not to mention the dreadful 10% distortion level they use to get that figure.

To say it pushes 1000 watts is dishonest and preys on the gullible.

try plugging the cable sound outputs (red and white plugs) into the other inputs that work on your amp to make sure that you are getting sound from the cable box.

Im tryna hook up my pansonic sa-pt 480 surround sound to my 42 inch plasma panasonic flatscreen and the cable but the sound not coming out the speakers

I couldn't find any info on sa-pt480 only scpt480. However, setup should be straighforwardly the same.

Generally you have to direct the sound in setup. The manual is here http://www.mito-oem.com/media/pdf/SCPT480.pdf Follow the instructions for setup

Im trying to setup a dvd home theater but the sound wont come out while watching tv it is the SC-PT480. Please help detailed setup with aux cables.

A TV can send lo-fi stereo analog to another unit via the RCA cables it may have on the back, but it will be watered-down lo-fi stereo.

Your TV-related audio would sound much better and be potentially surround if you get it digitally from the source, NOT the TV.
