When powering up the monitor comes on,then flickers a little, then display goes black.can the e233h monitor be reset?

Probably not. This is most likely either a backlight going out, or an inverter board going bad, or other internal component (costs $100+ to replace by a professional). Not worth it to fix in most cases, unless you have an extended warranty, or a local repair shop with really good rates.

However, you can try another monitor cord (between monitor and computer; not likely to be the problem, but rarely can help). Flat screen (monitors/TVs/laptops) generally last 5+ years with average use, but I've seen them fail within 2 years (especially on laptop computers). In general, if you got 3 to 5 years out of a monitor, you did ok.

PS: If buying a new LCD monitor or TV, look for one that says "LED" on the box. (LCD monitors traditionally had a few fluorescent bulbs inside as "backlights", but newer LCD monitors/TVs have hundreds of tiny LED lights inside, which last longer, use slightly less electricity, and give more even lighting on the screen edges).

No audio from 20" Hanspree

you need to plug a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack audio lead between the pc and monitor to get sound, the reason it doesnt come with a sound driver is because you dont need one for the monitor

Hello pegnjim, in my opinion, the best resolution for your monitor is that which looks and feels best on your eyes.
Your monitor has a recommended resolution of 1920 x 1080

We just got our computer and it says it has speakers built into the moniter. We can't figure out how to set them up.

if the computer was bought new, with the monitor, there should be a 3.5mm audio wire (it will be green on both ends) you will have to plug one end into the back of the PC (usually a green port) and the other end will be plugged into the monitor itself. The port on the monitor may not be easily found...search along the bottom of it near the power/vga cords. Hope this helps!

I have a liteview moniter but when connected to my computer it has no sound is there somthing wrong with the comp or the moniter

Most monitors dont have built in sound so check for a sound connection from the monitor. Check the cable where it connects to the PC, if there is a small light stereo plug, stick it into the light green connector on the back of the PC tower. The standard video cable does not have the connections for audio. If you are using a HD monitor that has inbuilt speakers, try using the HDMI connector if it has one, this does have the audio inbuilt, Some DVI cables have inbuilt audio, some do not, look for small round 2.5 mm stereo plugs not connected into anything..

No sound..

first make sure that your monitor has all of the drivers and speakers built into it.and that you have a a good audio cable.know that you have to have it in the audio port with the green around it(the middle one)you can't take regular speaker and plug them into the monitor.but you can plug them into the green port in the middle.also make sure that your other speaker are good.if you got any more questions email me at gamecrazy944@yahoo.com

New acer 19 " moniter plug in will not turn on ?

Hi,
Try other outlet, check the power cord if it contacted the monitor. If nothing happened, maybe it's factory defect, since it still under warranty, you can still change it.
Thanks
