This is usually caused by a recession in the pressure which is supposed to push the water out. Instead of the water being pushed out it is being sucked in. The device should be serviced and inspected for leakages and holes as holes could divert the pressure and therefore cause this problem.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Where can I find the model number on my bissell proheat I no longer have the box and cannot find the manual

It is usually located on the lower back or bottom of the machine (for Lift-Off models - remove Lift-Off pod to locate), or behind the cleaning tanks.

No steam is coming out. the orange light is on.

The channel between the steam chamber on the pump side and the exit chamber of the steam chamber is probably plugged, I opened up the chamber at both ends and cleaned it out with CLR and a heavy wire.

Can I put ground coffee directly into the brewer basket to make a cup of coffee? I don't have a coffee pod

Nope, don't put the ground coffee directly into it. Instead try using a Napkin or Paper towel.
A piece of cloth may also be used, but the paper towel is preferable.

Hope it works out!

I washed my daughter pink i pod in washer . HELP !!!!

You can try putting it into some demineralized water for about a couple of hours to try to remove any minerals that the washing put in. Then take it out and let it dry in the room for 3 days, then try it. It can be a bear of a problem with things in the wash.

How to empty

for this unit, you want to start by removing the hand vac portion.
along the side of the clear chamber towards the nozzle opening is 2 clips on either side of the unit.
Squeeze these clips together and the clear plastic chamber should come off. Pull the filter out of the chamber and dump out.

At this point too, you can choose to clean the dust cup, (soap and water) and the cloth filter in there (again soap and water). However if you do that, please make sure that the filter is 100% dry before putting it back into the unit.

Good luck,

Want to rmove sludge, organics from pod wihout rmoing the water

You may need to develop a centrifuge in line with your intake to throw off water, or a screened water take up which will drain back to your source, but it must be sealed while running.
Central vacs have an optional water pickup device that works in line for spills . I do not like these but the concept could help your scenario. The idea is that there is a short hose, then an inline pail with a drop bucket for the water and a flow thru intake and out port to the actual vac piping so the air can continue thru to the vac without carrying the water into the wall. Gravity makes the water drop and allows the air to continue down the vac line, but the sealed pail ensures you have continuous suction.
In your case you would have to rig a shutoff float as well. Look up a company called VACUMAX on the INTERNET. I think they might be of help as well if they are still in business, around Elmira Ontario, Canada

The automatic cable rewind on my Morphy Richards pod vacuum cleaner keeps retracting. I'd rather it didn't work at all than be constantly pulling out the cord. Is there any way in to fix it or disable it?

Hi Not really. It means that the cord has been pulled roughly when its been plugged in and the retracter is getting weaker to hold the cord that has been pulled out. Generally though wipe the entire cord from the end of the machine with a dry cloth and some furniture polish. This will clean the cord and add some resistance to the retractor that could minimise the cord flowing back into the vacuum.
