Question about HP Compaq nx6310 Notebook

Everything is ok but no audio output. Receiving audio through headphone jack only. What do I need to do?

Open the Control panel 2. Open the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. 3. Verify the "Place volume icon in the taskbar" checkbox is checked. If this option is not available or is grayed out, skip to the next section of this document. 4. If you were able to check this box, click ok and close out of this window and the Control Panel. 5. Double-click the sound icon in the Systray and verify that all the sound volumes are mid-way or higher.
Check Windows services. Right Click My Computer and Manage. Choose Services and Application > Services. Choose "Windows Audio" and set to Automatic and Start. Now next you can do is If you open control panel & click device manager the window that opens will show a list of all installed hardware. Look for anything with an exclamation mark beside it, or to do with sound. If you see anything, right click it, check it isn't Disabled then select "Properties." The next window should have some tabs along the top, the one you are looking for is "Driver," you should now see an "Update driver" button. Check ur sound card information by doing this Click on start menu Click on Run Type dxdiag, enter Click on the sound tab There is button of test direct sound click on this check if there is sound Check ur registry. Check if the sound registry key is enabled or disabled. There could be an error in registry, run registry cleaner reg in out to scan for errors.

Hi Louis,
The audio circuitry is located in the main board. Try unplugging the TV for a while and try again if the audio comes back.
I would suggest to check all your settings in the audio section first and if everything seems OK then the main board should be replaced.

Macbook pro headphone audio


Go in to the "applications>utilities" folder. Run the "Audio/MIDI Setup" program. Insure the audio out is actually going to the headphone out.

Korg triton extreme synth. L/r outputs work fine by themselves put plug in both right side cuts out using headphone jack instead if you pull the right slightly out of input you get both sides working


I need more info to correctly troubleshoot this. However my best guess from what your telling me is that its either the Audio jack on the Korg or the headphones. If everything else is working properly replace the headphones and the Audio outputs. Post again with more details if that does not work

Distorted sound from headphone jack


If possible try with another pair of headphones. If speaker outputs are ok, probably indicates a faulty output of headphone amp, if is seperate circuitry from speaker output.

No audio output


the audio output appears to be directly next to your ethernet port the three consecutive headphone jacks green is line out pink is line in if your not receiving any audio after having speakers hooked up I would say look at your computer bios and make sure your on board sound is enable than check to make sure your drivers for the board are all up to date

Can this unit be connected to my computer so I can make cd's?


It can if your computer has a 3.5mm jack audio imput.
What you need to have on your unit is and audio out socket. But if it doesn't have one you can use the headphone output. Then all you need is a lead. If you have the output sockets you just need a 3.5 jack to two RCA phono plugs one. If not you will need a 3.5 to 3.5 lead.
If using the headphone output, keep the volume low, use the computer recording device to adjust the signal level. NEVER turn the volume up high. Again if you are using the headphone output set tone controls to neutral, otherwise you will have either too much bass or treble on your recordings.
You can use the computer speakers to monitor the sound. Or you can get a headphone adapter plug that will allow to jacks to go into the headphone output of your unit, so you can connect a pair of headphones, but as I said don't mess with the volume control.

Need headphone solution for Panasonic c12lcd tv


I have a Panasonic viera 32in lcd hd tv. I'm trying to hook up headphones but there's is no apparent audio output jacks. But there's is only one digtal output jack! is this the jack ? and if it is, what cables do I need to make the headphones work? or am I forced into by an amplifier
