Ive got a 56" Samsung dlp hls5688w tv and im having the same problem. My lamp led light comes on blinking then 2 outside lights start blinking. my manual says that its the fans not operating correctly. could it be just the lamp fan? because the lamp doesnt come on..thanks if any advice can be given

I had this happen tool. I had a color wheel break into pieces. When I replaced it it wouldn't power on anymore. I tried a replacement bulb too, but it kept doing the same thing. Both fans appear to be running. I can feel a breeze coming into the bulb cage.

I have a samsung 4663w that was given to me because the person was moving and wasn't sure what wa swrong with it. i have the lamp and the standby lights on when i plug it in . is it the lamp gone bad or do...

The lamp may just be bad. Check with Samsungs solution center and trouble shooting first. Most likely needs a new lamp though and can be purchased through Samsung on-line and delivered to your door. I had the same problem and the flashing light on the standby light is actually a code for the problem. Sometimes you count the number of flashes to identify problem code.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

Samsung HLN467W Flashing "LAMP" LED

remove the lamp and visually check if inside looks broken.if visually do not see any thing wrong, check if you have 300 volts dc supply on the ballast which starts the lamp.if you do then the ballast may be defective.if you do not then the power supply should be checked.
the lamp should always be tried first especially if is older than two years.
note - be aware about the switch at the door lamp.the door should be closed, otherwise tv will not work.if you remove the back cover, make sure to bypass the switch temporarely so you could work on the set.

HLP, HCN HL-S The Start-up Problem or/and
3 LEDs in the front blinking.

Unplug the set, pull out the lamp module (not all the way - leave it on the track) and push it back in.

Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast. While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.
