SOURCE: Code for Magnavox DVD VHS Recorder

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
http://www.ofausa.com/remote.php?type=URC6131
just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Many thanks
Mark

SOURCE: connecting a samsung dvd-vr to TV with cable & rf modulator

it doesnt have a coaxial but it definitely has an Audio video connector port, what you do is buy one, its a 3 piece cable one is yellow for video, and the other two is red and white for audio, if your using flat panel TV it will definetely have that port.

I have Magnavox DVD player/vcr DV225MG9, does it record from vhs onto dvds? And if not, what do I need to get so that I can copy all of these old vhs movies to dvds?

it won't record dvd's its only a dvd player. only the vcr records
if the vhs movies your trying to record are movies like star wars and stuff like that it's copy protected and no worth the trouble. if it's home movies or something you recorded from tv they might work. if you get a dvd recorder/vhs player.

DVD/VHS COMBO SETUP

I have tried many times to get the code for my Magnavox dvd player/recorder to work successsfully. Finally, I went to the setup for my dvd unit and made one very important change. In the section that you select what thpe of dvd unit you have, I had to select player instead of dvd recorder. After I made that selection, I was able to get the controller to work with my dvd successfully. I quess the controller is suppose to work with a dvd player only and not with a dvd recorder. I have always had a dvd recorer and never a player only. I hope this tip will help someone to solve their setup problem.

Screen goes black as soon as i push record on dvd when trying to record vhs to dvd on magnavox combo player

Dubbing does the media transfer automatically, not by playback and record. you select vcr to dvd then do dubbing. Please read the manual. and try all the controls.

I am trying to record from vhs to dvd and I start the movie on vhs, push record on the dvd and then the tv screen goes black so I am getting recordings of black. You can see that something has been burned...

If you are trying to record a store bought vhs movie to dvd, there is a copy guard that is imprinted on the tape making it impossible to transfer the movie to disc effectively, on top that there probably a built in copy guard restriction in the machine making it even more difficult.

Transfer VHS recording to DVD . I have recordings on VHS tapes and would like to transfer them to DVD discs.

Try hooking up an external DVD player to the unit. Remember, the jacks are color coded and never connect an OUT to an IN or vice versa. Your unit might have a special channel in which you can watch DVDs with the VCR part left on, try recording from this too. Good luck to you!

I have a Magnavox ZV427MG9. I follow all directions in manual for dubbing VHS home movies to DVD but when I try to play the DVD back there's nothing on them. What am I doing wrong?

Depending on the procedure you may be pressing the record button instead of the D.Dubbing or Dubbing button. When recording from VHS to DVD you must first, load the blank DVD and VHS home movies, then play the VHS movies, then PAUSE the VHS movie when you want to START recording... then the only the you have to do is pressing the D.Dubbing button or the Dubbing button. If your VHS tapes starts to play after the Dubbing button is pressed you have been successful in Dubbing.
