Question about Bella Blenders

3 Answers

I've had my Bella Home Rocket Blender for quite some time, but, I just started using it a few days ago and I really like it. I used it as recently as earlier today, but now, after blending a milkshake, the container won't detach from the base. Please help!!

I've tried this solution several times - container will not budge! Now what?

  • lindaprice20 Sep 10, 2010

The container won't detach from the base of my Bella Home Rocket Blender Model XB9218. Already tried holding base with left hand and pressing down and LEFT with right hand...container still does not budge...waiting for nearly an hour for another solution - please respond.

  • lindaprice20 Sep 10, 2010

The container has been full of cold milk and ice from the start. The liquid in the container is now starting to spew from where it connects to the base...not a whole lot, just enough to spray the counter top and everything else near it. Used some WD-40 on it - nothing works.....very frustrating.

  • lindaprice20 Sep 10, 2010

I'll call tomorrow, but, I'm very doubtful. Although I just started using the unit, I've had it for a couple of years - don't remember where I purchased it and I don't have a receipt. Thanks, anyway.

  • lindaprice20 Sep 10, 2010

I was turning it counter-clockwise before I reported the problem. Tried it again several times after I was instructed to turn counter-clockwise - nothing worked.

How much, if any, am I being charged for this issue?

  • lindaprice20 Sep 12, 2010

I tried EVERYTHING to unlock that stupid machine! I went out and bought another one yesterday, and, so far, it's working great...I'll write again if I start to have problems with my new one.

Again, how much, if anything, am I being charged for your service?

  • lindaprice20 Sep 12, 2010

Thanks so much for trying to help me. Turns out I had a bad machine. I've had the machine for a long time, but, only started using it recently. Went out a purchased another one and it's working fine. Thank you, again.

Have you tried to turn it counter-clockwise I believe it is to unlock it?

Are you pushing or pulling while turning? Depending on the model, some can push and turn, others pull and turn to remove. The are 3 little tabs that lock it in place.

If you ever decide to fix the one you had, I can surely help you repair it. That's what here for. Thank You.

  • lindaprice20 Sep 14, 2010

Well, as I saw it, all the recommendations I received did not resolve the issue. I needed to use the blender with my new meal requirements, so, I went out and bought another one. Again, I appreciate your efforts.

If you have problems with the new one, let me know. Or if you ever decide to fix the old one. It will be about $20 for the advice.

Wow that's no good! I would run the "joint" where the container meets the base of the unit under ice cold water, possibly sit it in some ice even, to cause the plastic of the jar to contract. It is normal for it to be quite tight, so I bet with a little ice / ice water run against the spot where two join would cause it to release enough for you to undo it. I would bet that it will come undone, it just can take quite a bit of force some times. You may want to add some lubricant to the metal base, at the lip, and in the grooves where it screws in so that you don't have this issue again. Something similar to this product :

Wow, ok this is much worse than I thought in that case. It sounds like maybe you received a defective unit... it happens sometimes, they can just be bad from the factory. Since it is so new you should be able to get it replaced for free. In the morning give Bella Cucina a call at : 404.347.6476

Hello again, did you ever come to any conclusion? It definitely sounds like your unit may be bad...

It definitely sounds like you had a defective unit there the first time around, so sorry about that. I believe the charge is around $5 or so, regardless of how much "help" I provide, so no worries there. But please make sure you come back to the site here and put that I was very helpful / answered the question successfully or I get no credit for all the help. Right on this page you are reading this there should be a way to indicate that I was helpful, or to rate me "4 thumbs" or something like that.

Thank you so much for bearing with me through this, and sorry about your experience with the first blender.

No problem, glad its working now :). Please indicate that you accept the solution I provided, there should be a button on the page here somewhere that you can do that.

    Thanks
    Tim

Try to firmly hold the base with your left hand and hold the container with your right. Now while holding the container, push the container down the base and twist it to the LEFT. That should detach it. Please let me know how this goes.

Turn the cog in the base a little. Sometimes it gets misaligned.

Unable to fit. Cup into base of rocket blender

I had this exact same problem and was scratching my head why would that happen all of a sudden. After taking it completely apart (which I didn't need to), I realized in the end that the cup rim was stuck at the bottom of the blender base. It looked like a part of the base what got me confused the first place. The base of the blender is flat with no ridges around; check if this is the same problem with yours.

Hi! I just had the same problem and actually called the service number that came with the rocket blender. The lady on the phone said that the plastic cup must have expanded (from heat), and to stick it in the refrigerator for 24 hours until the plastic shrinks back down to normal. After the 24 hours the cup should be able to come off. Kind of makes sense, but I hope it works!
