My parents are getting an F3 on their Amana gas stove. This stove is about 9 years old. Not sure of the model. The burners are working fine, but they cannot use the oven. Any ideas? Many thanks!!

F3 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. It is all of a sudden beeping and there is a -F3- in the screen area. What do I do. It is a above the stove microwave. And has never done this.

The -F3- is an error code indication temperature sensing error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire connection from it position.

what you need to do to fix up this problem is to unscrew (open)the oven trace the wire down to the screen and also to the panel clean then fix up the loose wire back to it position then clean up all form of water or liquid you can fine around the wire and the control panel with this the problem of f3 code is solve.

I have an f3 code coming up on my stove. the manual says to call a repairman..the stove is 9 years old it may not be worth the repair. can you tell me what this f3 means...thanks

This error indicates the Oven temperature sensor has failed,
You will need to replace the Oven temperature sensor (RTD).

This part can usually be replaced from inside the oven.

GE Profile JGS968SHSS stove won't heat - display stays at 100F Mid-way through cooking (long, slow-cook) I returned to find the oven very cool though set to 350F. Turned it off and reset temp to Bake at 350F. Oven never heats and display shows 100F. Temperature never rises. Broiler works as normal. Oven Cleaning Cycle - oven gets hot too and works as normal. When set to regular Bake program, oven fan (from top) turns on, but inner Convention Fan doesn't turn. I cannot find any Service Manual; would much appreciate help in troubleshooting my problem. I've looked for thermal fuse protectors, but it's not obvious to me where they are located. Much appreciate any advice you can offer.
