Factor out 3X
3X(2X-5)=0
The expression is equal to zero if one of the factors on the left side equals zero.
1st solution: 3X=0, thus X=0
2nd solution 2X-5 = 0 if X=5/2

Very sorry Factor out 2X: 2X(3X-5)=0 is true if 2X=0 or 3X-5=0. The first case yields X=0 and the second case yields X=5/3

### I need to understand how to divide a binomial.

Let's take 2x^2 - 10x +12 and divide it by x-2.
__2x_-_6____________
x-2 ) 2x^2 - 10x + 12
2x^2 - 4x
------------
- 6x + 12
- 6x + 12
------------
0

How many times does x go into 2x^2. Put the answer, 2x above the 2x^2. Next mulitply (x-2) by 2x and put the answer under 2x^2. Now subtract that answer from 2x^2 - 10x and we get -6x (-10x - (-4x)).

How many time does x go into -6x. -6 time. Write this above the line and put the answer above the -10x. Next multiply (x-2) by -6 and put the answer under the -6x. Subtract and we get 0 and we are done. If we want to check our answer we can multiply (x-2) and (2x - 6) and we should get 2x^2 - 10 x + 12.

Good luck.

### -6x-3y=27

The x intercept is where your line will cross the x axis. Therefore, the value for y at this point is 0. Substitute 0 for y in this equation and solve for x.

6x + 3(0) = 27
x = 27/6
x = 4 1/2

x intercept = (4 1/2, 0)

Follow the same reasoning for the y intercept.

6(0) + 3y = 27
y = 27/3
y = 9

y intercept = (0,9)

Now plot these two points and draw your line through them.

### Solve using the quadratic formula: 36x^2 – 60x = -25

Why would you do that, when the expression is a perfect square?. Verify that (6x-5)^2=36x^2-60x+25.
Then the solution of (6x-5)^2=0 is a double root with value x=5/6

### What is the value of x in this equation : 6x+21+4x=-9

Dear Anne I am old school but I think it works lide this..

6x+21+4x=-9

so add 9 to both sides

6x+30+4x=0

so 6x+4x+30=0

so 10x+30=0

so x= -3

I hope this helps.

### (2x+3y)(3x+2y)

(2x - 3y)(3x + 2y) = 2x*3x + 2x*2y - 3y*3x - 3y*2y
= 6x^2 + 4xy - 9xy - 6y^2
= 6x^2 - 5xy - 6y^2 You multiply each element in the first set of brackets by each element in the second set of brackets and then consolidate like terms and arrange them in sequence of powers, first x and then y. So:
2x by 3x = 6x squared
2x by 2y = 4xy
-3y by 3x = -9xy
-3y by 2y = 6y squared

6x squared -5xy + 6y squared

### I have a LG GE20 DVD Rewriter Is a DVD+RW disc a format that is editable and suitable for this unit?

The LG G20 DVD Rewriter is an advanced external burner that supports 'editable' Rewritable DVD+RW disk.
As a generic comment, not all writable/rewritable media are made equal and problem with branded & unbranded disks are not uncommon, so stick to brands that work for you for your specific unit!
The following is the advertised support for your unit, hope it helps:

### Is the ordered pair a solution of the equation? 6x - 3 = y; (0, -3)

6x- 3 = y; (0, -3)

Here 6x - 3 = y is the equation
The ordered pair is (0, -3 )
It means if you substitutes 0 for x and -3 for y the equation will be true
Let us substitute and see:-
'6x' (means 6 times x) means 6 times 0 which is equal to 0
So the equation 6x - 3 = y becomes
0- 3 = -3 is correct
The ordered pair means the values of x and y which make the equation correct
Hope this is clear enough
Good luck
