Above the top row of keys on the keyboard you will see 3 small silver tabs, one at each end and one in the middle. Gently push these up and gently pry the the keyboard towards you. Then release the wiring from the tab on the circuit board behind it.

Remove keyboard 646125-001

  1. Prior to replacing your replacement keyboard for sony vaio vgn-fe880e/h, make sure to remove the keyboard and disconnect the ac adapter from your laptop.
  2. The first step to replacing your laptop keyboard is to remove the screws from the back of your vaio vgn-fe880e/h. Sometimes your laptop will have a picture of a keyboard next to the screws that need to be removed. Otherwise, see your laptop manual for details.
  3. Above the laptop keyboard for sony vaio vgn-fe880e/h, you have a cover panel. If required, remove this part to easily access your keyboard. If you have screws above your keyboard, remove those screws.
  4. Now that you have removed all the screws, you are ready to remove and then replace your new laptop keyboard.
  5. To remove the vaio vgn-fe880e/h Keyboard, take a thin object and pry the keyboard out between the keyboard and motherboard. Be careful when removing the keyboard.
  6. Now that your keyboard is loose, simply disconnect your keyboard. In order to disconnect the keyboard, pay attention to the keyboard connector and connector cable. Unlock the connector cable device and remove your laptop keyboard. Your sony vaio vgn-fe880e/h connector cable should be easy to remove by simply sliding it out.
  7. Now that your keyboard has been removed, get ready to install your new laptop keyboard. Look at the back of the keyboard. If you see any screw holes, you will have a good idea of where to place the screws back in at the bottom of the laptop.
  8. Connect your laptop keyboard for sony vaio vgn-fe880e/h to the motherboard keyboard connection slot. Secure the keyboard cable. Now turn your keyboard in place, and align the grooves on the bottom of your keyboard with your palmrest or plastic bezel. Secure your laptop keyboard in place, make sure it fits properly and is snug. Now simply place the screws back in place.

Remove toshiba keyboard

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery. Look inside the battery compartment and see if any screws are there, if so remove them (the keys inside the battery compartment normally holds the strip that is above the keyboard). If you see a screw that has the icon of a keyboard beside it, then that screw holds the keyboard in place. Look along the bottom of the laptop for more screws that have the icon of a keyboard beside them and remove them. In fact you could just remove all screws from the bottom of the laptop just in case you have to remove the palmrest. Remove the screws from the covers that houses the memory and hard drive and check inside them for screws. Sometimes a keyboard screw might be inside them.

Turn the laptop over and remove the strip that is at the top of the keyboard by gently prying it off with a small flat head screw driver. Be careful because there might be a cable attached to it. If the strip above the keyboard is one big piece that requires the whole palmrest to be removed, then look along the sides and top of the keyboard for little catches that you can push to release the keyboard and it will come out without having to remove the palmrest.

if the you have to just remove the strip at the top of the keyboard, once it is removed there might be screws at the top of the keyboard that hide under the strip to remove. Once the screws are removed, gently try to lift the keyboard out. Small catches on the side might be holding it so you might have to work with pulling one side out first then the keyboard will come out. Be careful, there is a cable under the keyboard that plugs into the board. Remove the keyboard cable from the board then lift it all the way out.

How do I remove/replace the keyboard from a HP Pavillion dv7-2277cl

1. Remove 6 screws from the bottom of the case (as shown). These screws hold the accessory cover.

2. Remove one screw securing the CD/DVD drive. Slide the CD/DVD drive to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard. Remove the CD/DVD drive.

3. Remove all marked screws from the bottom of the notebook.
The yellow circled screws secure the keyboard cover, and the green one secures the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

4. Turn the computer display-side up and open it as far as possible. Insert a guitar pick or small flat screwdriver between the keyboard cover and case and slowly move along the side.

5. Lift the keyboard cover. Be careful, it's still connected to the motherboard. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector and disconnect the cable from the LED board. Remove the keyboard cover.

6. Remove the four screws that secure the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

7. Lift the rear edge of the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard until it rests at an angle. Slide the keyboard back to disengage the tabs on the front edge of the keyboard from the top cover and rest it on the display.

How can i repaire my kerboard of aser 5920

Remove sticky tape securing the keyboard cable to back of the keyboard.Part of the keyboard cable is glued to the keyboard. Carefully separate the cable from the keyboard.Start peeling off the aluminum protective film Remove the protective film. After the protective film is removed it's really hard to attach it back to the keyboard because it's deformed. Most laptop keyboards have some kind of plastic separators.
These separators secured on the back of the keyboard.
Plastic pins are melted on the back of the keyboard and retain separators in place.Push all plastic pins though wholes on the keyboard.Start removing the separator. The plastic separator has been removed.
Now you'll have to remove all key caps.
Before you start removing key caps, make a picture or xerocopy of the keyboard so you know the order in which keys are attached to the keyboard. In order to remove the key cap carefully lift it up with your fingers.Remove the key cap so the hinge underneath stays connected to the keyboard.
Some big keys have a different design.
In addition to the hinge, some big keys (Back space or Space bar for example) might have an additional support bracket.Remove the key cap with the support bracket. As you see, the key hinge stays connected to the keyboard. Some laptop keyboards might have blank covers on the left and right sides from the up arrow key.Lift up and remove the blank cover. All keyboard key caps and plastic separators have been removed. Now you can start removing key hinges - key lifting mechanisms.Carefully separate the key hinge from the keyboard.
Each key hinge has two parts - external and internal pieces.
When you remove the hinge, try to keep these parts connected to each other the same way they are connected on the keyboard. If the external and internal pieces got separated, you can assemble them together. If you following this guide to repair the keyboard, I would recommend to keep all hinges in the right order.
The keyboard has two sheets laying one on the top of another.
Remove the sheet with silicone (or rubber) nipples.Remove the second sheet with traces. Both sheets have been separated from the keyboard base. The sheet with traces has two layers and all traces are running between these layers. In order to access and repair traces you'll have to separate to layers from each other. The keyboard has been disassemble.
As you see it's not easy to disassemble a laptop keyboard and even harder to put it back together.
Is it worth repairing? Probably not. These days you can find a new laptop keyboard very cheap.
