Brake pads sticking

Is it the pads are sticking to the disc (never heard of this), or are the pistons not retracting?

If the pistons are not retracting, the could be crud on them, or some corrosion.
Clean them off before pushing back in.

Also, the rubber seals move a little with the pistons when the brakes are applied.
When the brakes are released, the seals try to go back to their original position, pulling the pistons back with them as they go.

Over time (and because of heat) the seals harden and loose their elasticity.

The cure for that is to replace the seals
If you go that far make sure to clean the pistons (see above) and the bores before reassembly.

1996 Ford Taurus GL Sedan Car will not move while running in drive, 2, 1, or reverse. Transmission fluid is at correct level and looks new. No grit or bubbles on stick, fluid is normal red color....

Does the fluid read overfull on the stick now? You might have stripped the splines in the converter for the pump shaft. This is common problem on this model. Also the Forward clutch piston are known for cracking.

Have a break calliper with piston that wont push back to fit new breaks what can i do apart from buying a new one

Use a little wd40 or pbblaster penetrating oil and let it soak for an hour. I don't know what you are using to move the piston. What you need is a large C-clamp. Make sure it is an all metal clamp. None of that plastic junk. A few good turns of the handle should start moving the piston.

Out of timing on the distruber. need to know where rotor button would set on compression stroke, on 350 lt1 engine

pull the #1 plug(drivers side front) bump it around till compression stroke, use a small probe of some sort to feel when the piston is top dead center, then the rotor is to point to the #1 plug wire(just follow the wire to the cap)

Front brakes sticking after a couple of miles

There are 2 causes, 1.caliper slides are in need of servicing/lube.2, caliper(s) piston(s) need to be serviced/cleaned. Recommend replacement of both calipers, if either doesn't work.

Trying to fit new pads to vw touran rear axle and have pushed piston back enough to get it off but cant get it back in any further to fit it over new pads and disk, wont fully retract or cant get it to ?

Try removing the brake reservoir cap under the hood where you fill the brake fluid up. This will release some pressure also use a c-clamp if you haven't already to push the piston.

2003 R6 Rear Brake doesn't function.

I suggest replace all fluid & while the caliper is off for a pad change check the caliper pistons are not seized -"copperslip" around the piston means they will move more freely when you brake. Bleed properly as air bubbles can cause what your describing.

Rear brakes 05 merc montego

Try turning again clockwise with a little more pressure. If the brakes were worn badly the piston is just stuck from being adjusted out so far.

Did you rebuild the trigger plunger? Check the plunger on the trigger. Sometimes junk will set up in the seat and cause low flow of air.
