Lost original wire connecting printer usb to tower usb. I think I have a wire that fits both usb's, but where does it go on the tower?

Use a computer that has Internet connection to download the printer driver then copy the drivers to an USB memory stick and install the printer driver onto your computer using the USB memory stick.

yes, the 4370 uses a standard printer USB cable. You are probably thinking of a different USB cable - the one with two flat ends. All USB printer cables have one square end and one flat end.

Many a times the cartridges get empty.There is ink in the cartridges,this ink gets over or many a times dried up.Remove the cartridges and see.There will be a steel color nozzle at the base of cartridge,from where the ink comes out.Touch the tissue paper to that base and see,if there is ink coming out.Actually the ink should come out.There will be two cartridges in the printer.One black and one tri-color.On black cartridge when you touch the tissue paper you will get black ink on tissue.On tri-color cartridge when you touch tissue on its base you will get three colors,that are yellow--- blue and pink.( In printer language its called cyan--- yellow---magenta color).If there is ink in the cartridge then it should print,If you have replace the cartridge,then on its base there is a blue color tape.That tape has to be removed from its base.If the tape is not removed the cartridge will not print.-------- One more thing.Before doing any thing.Just do a self test and see if the cartridges are working. The procedure of self test is as follows:--- " 1) Turn the printer on.2) The power on green light should be steady green,not blinking green. 3) When its steady green at that time.Press the cancel and color button both together. 4) By doing this the green light will flash,and printer will take the paper. 5) On that paper the self test will get printed.But if the printer takes the paper and it comes out empty /blank then its cartridge fault.But if the self test is getting printed,then yes its confirmed that there is communication fault between printer and computer.In this case,replace the usb wire.Try new brand usb wire and see if that is helping.One more thing.When you install the printer driver.At that time never keep the usb wire connected between printer and computer.Only keep one side of usb connected to computer tower.In between the installation procedure.The message will come up on your computer screen" this message reads,connect the usb wire to printer.At that time connect the usb wire".As you connect the usb wire the message will come up on your computer screen.The printer is detected.If this message comes up then only your printer will work.If this message does not comes then,there is any of the three things faulty,that is usb wire,the usb port on printer side or usb port on computer side.If usb wire is faulty you can replace this wire with new and check.Its not a costly wire.But if any of the ports are faulty,then this ports are internally soldered on the main board.This ports needs to be re-soldered.This can be done by any printer/computer repair tech.Its hardly a 10 minute job to re-solder loose usb port. ------------- Try this troubleshooting procedure.This will help. i think u'r charger's wire contact is lost

The Dell 725 printer power cord does NOT plug in to the tower. The Video Cable, on the other hand, plugs in to the tower's video output. Look for a connector like the one from the printer (often USB these days) to plug it in to the computer. There was a diagram that came with the computer that showed how to do all the connections, and the Power Cord does NOT plug in to the tower. USB connections are in various locations on your computer's tower, in the back and sometimes in the front too.

Find an inductive pickup indicator for spark. Place on distributor cap to see if spark is at coil internal tower. If no spark at internal tower, look at ignition module or pickup coil. Ignition modules are prone to failure on 626's. But if you have spark at tower but not at the wire end, then your rotor is gone.

Check the back of the printer, is there a another connector or only the usb?

if the printer has only usb, you would need to buy a usb card for your old tower
You would need to look inside your tower and check if you have a white PCI slot available

check whether its detected by the pc when you connect the usb wire to the pc and the printer.if not detecting then it could be the problem of the wire or usb drivers or the usb socket in your cpu is loose fit it tightly.

Answer me this. You're case is an Antec tower? The motherboard is the Asus P4P800 SE ? Is this correct?
