Hello,

The vacuum cleaner is already getting weak and needs to be troubleshooted before it can pick up fine once again.

All machines are meant to have problems when they have been used for a while.

after troubleshooting, it will be in good condition once again, you can have a service guy troubleshoot it or you can as well troubleshoot it yourself with the help of your user manual.

Take care

There's no suction power

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC08. If it's not picking up as well as usual, there may be a blockage in the machine, and the filter may need a wash.

The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=300&product=DC08-SY-STD

In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

You should find this resolves the issue - however, if you'd like any further assistance, please call us free on 0800 298 0298. Our Helpline is available from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week.

Kind regards,

Jack

Vacuum not picking up dirt

The neck in your power head is likely clogged. Disconnect from the wand and look inside. Also check the wand.Since you have suction on the bare floor the hose is likely not blocked.

Getting no suction

Check the hose for a clog, when suction is low, you will usually find a clog in the hose or in the dirt inlet by the brush roll. If this is less then a year old, then it is still in warranty, if you can't figure it out, then take it and proof of purchase to a warranty repair shop.
