Question about Cameras
You have posted your question under "Digital Cameras". If this is the problem, have you tried downloading the pictures thru the Windows Explorer? Is this what you have been doing to download the pictures? Please confirm.
Further, if windows only gives you the option to Format the memory card, then you can format and recover the files later using a recovery software.
Please let me know of further details so that I can assist you better. Thank you for contacting FixYa.

If you are using a usb cable from the camera to the computer, try using a card reader to the usb port, if you have one, and see if windows detects the card as another drive.
Otherwise, there are utilities you can download off the net to try to fix corrupted memory cards. Just google "memory card repair" and you will find a list of many.
Otherwise, this could be a camera problem, and that could be an expensive fix.
Try an old card in the camera, and see if the camera takes pics and works good. If it does, the bad disk may be unreparable.
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.
