Depending how old the CD you have is. The way compact made their CDs before was to recognize the workstation/laptops if it's made by compact. But they could've made it a littl emore sofisticated to look for the same model only. If it's the same model, then no issue. If it's not, then the worse thing is it will tell you it is not compatible. Also the drivers for a different model might not be available on that CD, so you would have to download your drivers form the manufacturer of that hardware/component

Hello cannot access into my compact computer....

Actually the procedure is really easy.
You need an installation CD of the Windows version you have installed on your system.
Insert it in your CD ROM, and boot your computer from it.
After a short time (maybe 30 seconds to two minutos) you will be asked to select your language.
Click Continue.
Next screen you'll see a big INSTALL NOW message......
But if you look closely, on the bottom half on the left hand, you'll read among other things, something like "Repair your Computer"
Click there, and after a little while, Windows will find the problem and a message will say:
Windows has found the problem and fix it.
Press the button to accept the suggestion, remove the CD, and your computer will restart all the way to your Desktop.

Hope this helps,

PC will not boot up. Almost did once but screen went black. Reboot doesn't help. No green light on monitor and PC makes a long slow beep over and over. I have recovery discs but when put it nothing...

Based on your description of your problem, my educated guess is that you have a problem with the system board or motherboard. Checking Compaq support site, it says that beeps are generally heard when a hardware device is not connected properly or has failed.

First thing to try is disconnect the keybaord and mouse and try to start the computer again. What we are trying to do is find out which hardware device might be involved. So start with the keyboard an mouse. If the computer still does not start, remove any periferal drives, like floppy or cd drives.

There are several beep codes, below are a few examples listed:

Beep codes common to HP and Compaq Desktop PCs The following beep codes are common to many HP and Compaq desktop computers. Use these codes first before referring to the other code lists. NOTE: Not all codes are shown. Below is a link to a troubleshooting page from Compaq for your computer. This can be a good reference as well.

Hello

Tray B of my RCA CD Burner does not recognize any CDs

Are you using the correct disc type??

The manual states that only discs that are labeled:

"Compact Digital Audio Disc Recordable" (Audio CDR)

*or*

"Compact Digital Audio Disc Rewritable" (Audio CD-RW) can be used.

The popular discs labeled "Compact Recordable" and Compact Disc "Rewritable" are for use in computers, and can NOT be used on the recorder.

Page 16 of the manual shows the graphic of the logos detailed above. The manual can be downloaded for free below:
