Replace the memory and try again - if it's the same then replace the cpu and try again. If even now it doesn't work then it's dead, replace it.

Dim green light on power supply blinking

If the Power supply LED dims and flickers its either your motherboard circuit has been cut or there is a short in the laptop. The AC adapter is not the cause.

Try this:
Remove the battery, then press power button to drain all the current, then re-install battery and plug to adapter.

If that doesn't work, then it's most likely the motherboard.

The LED in my motherboard is on, but if i turn on the switch, their is no response. the power connection is correct. but it doesn't work

Try swapping the power button connection with the reset button connection. Then to turn on your computer you will need to press the reset button. If that works you have a faulty power button. Otherwise try using a different PSU. One that you know works. If that doesn't help the motherboard will have to be replaced.

Green led power light comes on then power goes off and comes back on repeatedly. It never posts.

Your motherboard was manufactured in late 2009. The green LED on the MB supplies DC power to the BIOS. This is known as standby. This is a relay is built into the MB maintaining the required 3 volt. When you power up the MB the power supply maintains the
3 volt DC to the BIOS. So the relay is not working. Suggest you contact Asus. All Asus MB's carry a three year warranty. Your board will need to be replaced by Asus. Call Asus at; 1-812-282-2787. (Asus Tech IL EST) M-F 8:00 to 5:00PM) There is a sticker on the LPT printer port. Write down the serial number, you'll need this when you make the call.

Good luck!

Cant get computer to

Disconnect everything from the motherboard except the power supply, CPU and power switch.

Turn on the computer. You should hear 3 beeps because you removed the memory.

If you don't hear any beeps, check the power supply. Check all the connections. Did you connect the 4 pin power? Did you skimp on it? A common mistake is to get a cheap, high-power supply. Just because the box says it's 1000 WATTs doesn't mean that will carry a steady load.

Still nothing...

It's either a bad motherboard or processor. If you have another processor that is supported on that board and you know it works, try it. If it boots return your CPU for a good one.

Unfortunatly, if it doesn't boot with a known-good processor that just proves the board is bad; it doesn't prove your CPU is good. You may have more issues.

Replacing the bios battery was the correct thing to do. Answer me this. The Asus motherboard should have a green LED light lit (Standby power LED), when the system is turned off. Also keep the power cord for the power supply connected at all times. Though it is possible the replacment bios battery was all ready low on voltage or dead. When you're system is turned off the power supply continues to send 5volt DC to the motherboard which maintains the bios 3volt DC.
If the green LED is not lit than there is no power charging the bios battery and every time you boot the system the bios will have lost its settings. If the green LED is red in color, than the problem is within the standby switch built into the motherboard. The standby circuit can not be repaired. Double check all power connectors from the power supply to the motherboard. If everything has a good connection and you're bios settings continue to reset you should consider replacing the motherboard. At this point you have nothing to loose. Install the latest bios update,
(Beta Version 1010.005). 2006/02/14 update.
