Hi,
it could be few things,
Its probably drum unit fault, probably the cleaner is worn out and doesnt clean drum surface enough.Remove the drum unit and see if there is "leftovers" on drum surface and if Yes change the drum unit.
If the copie isnt baked enough that means that the fixing roller is worn out and you need to change it.
If You are using replacment toner, not genuine from Canon, also it can cause problems like bacground, dots, spots,...

Hope that helps!

Why won't my Bixolong SRP-275 print the second copy of the receipt? It only printers the first copy, and the second copy is faint at best. thanks,

So it is printing the second copy, just faint? If everything is set correctly in your pos system in regards to fonts, etc, then unfortunately that sounds like a hardware problem. It could possibly be the power supply failing not supply enough current to drive the thermal head, or a main board problem, or even the thermal head might be failing. You could try cleaning the thermal head (black shiny thing you can see when you lift lid up) with isopropyl alcohol. Failing that you need a tech.

Gray background

Hi,

if you have a laser printer you may need to clean the printer or install a new drum cartridge, if it is ink-jet you will have to clean the bottom of the ink cradle it sound like you getting grey background from a toner/drum cartridge.

good Luck

Let em know if this helps.

Toshiba 3550 Copier - Printing a faint ''gray'' band over text

Depending on how many copies you have run, the drum as well as the cleaning blade needs to be replaced.  That should get rid of the gray band.

Your macchine might need a PM
A few possiblities
Open the right side there is a transfer on the piece that slides out, That is the Transfer, check the wire see if it is broken, if it is broken, call a tech, or if not broken try to clean this with a can of air.
The charge might be dirty, the developer might be bad, is the machine level?
Could also be in need of a new drum.
The optics might be dirty.
But most likely a charge somewhere is dirty, or the developer is bad.
I would call a Tech for a PM (PM is new drum, developer, charge, and a decent tech will clean the optics and machine)
