2 guesses. 1. the thermostat is bad. 2. temperature sensor is bad.

These can be tested with a multimeter. Remove the components, put in warm environment, the move to the fridge. See if the continuity changes as the temp changes.

Based on your explanation this is an erratic operation of the thermostat, first thing that you need to check is the wiring make sure that all the wires are proper looped on the under terminals then reset the thermostat if the problem still persist I think you need to replace the thermostat. If you need further support call the homeowner techline 18002842925.

Reddy Heater 70 (Kerosene) won't start

In the same temperature range that is giving you trouble, run an ext cord (110v) from a known good household circuit and plug the heater into the cord. If the heater runs OK, then the inverter is your problem.

Motor fails to start when cold

have you checked the bearings? oiling the motor with wd-40 creates a gummy mess that binds the motor. the lubricants in wd-40 are solvent based. once this "vehicle" dries up what's left is a silicone product that dries out. use a dependable light machine oil like 3 in 1 oil or a sewing machine oil
