Question about Delta Model 470: Signature Kitchen Pull-Down/Out Faucet - White

1 Answer

Hello, The Hub Assembly in my Delta Signature Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet, gets jammed turned to the right, and will not rotate any more. In past, I have temporarily restored rotation by applying WD40 and or Shredder Lubricant oil to the top and bottom surface joints of the hub. It now seems permanently stuck. Please let me know how to repair this part of the faucet.

Amazing! Many thanks for the terrific advice. Delta's customer services are the best--one short chat, and the replacement part is on it's way to me (free of charge). This is an up-dated part, one the company has redesigned so as eliminate the sticking problem. They've even offered to talk me through installation, should I need help.

There is a set screw under a removable button cover on the handle. Remove screw to disassemble and access cartridge. See link. http://www.deltafaucet.com/media/MandI/76075%20Rev%20B.pdf

Hi While I try to rotate the tap , the whole base is rotating with it ( delta 470 ss)

A "basin" wrench will be needed to get up under the sink/faucet base to tighten the nuts that hold the faucet in place. It's a simple job but requires the agility of a contortionist to get at.

Sticking of KWC DOMO model faucet.

I would definitely take it apart to find out what is causing it to bind, that is not normal. Make sure that you turn your water supply lines off under the sink, via angle/strait stops. From under the faucet there is one or two nuts fastening the faucet to the counter, they are usually screwed on just a little more than hand tight. The problem may not be fixable, so be prepared to replace the faucet.

Need to take the hose assembly out of delta 470 faucet

you need to disconnect from under the faucet and then pull it all the way out just like if you were pulling it out to use the spray. There may be a big weight on the hose to help it back into the spout when placing the head back....you will also have to take that off to pull it through.

Replace the seal on the 470 DST single handle pull out faucet

Turn the water off at the faucet, remove the handle and the retaining nut that is apart of the trim. You will see where you can use a wrench to remove it. The ball assembly will come right out and you can replace the washers right below it. Put it back together and if needed, tighten the tension ring that is on the retaining nut (usually grey or white in color) so it won't leak water around the ball stem. Good luck.
