Sounds like a defective main board, you are rebooting the computer inside to get it working again, so its 90% defective digital main board. if you are lucky, the 10% is bad caps inside, they will be bulged and can be soldered in for a cheap fix, heres what a bad one looks like, good ones are flat on top:
