You most likely have a problem with your hard drive. If the pc was working normal - and now doesn't - you must repair the hard drive before the pc will reconginize it.
To go through the other problems possible here is not going to happen but you can try this.

Remove the HDD and then reinstall it.Be sure the electrical connectors are right too.
Remove the MEMORY sticks called RAM -- clean their ends with a pencil eraser. Reinstall the memory.

good luck

Samsung RV515 how do you reboot a laptop?

Oh dear sounds like hard drive failure. When the computer cannot find instructions to load am operating system it asks for them. I think your computer hard disk is given up the ghost which I'd where it would normally load the boot information. The boot information is the operating system like Windows. There are ways to check the hard disk I do hope you had back ups though.

I dont have boot dissk for my asus f5r laptop what can i do it says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key_

Your ASUS cannot find the hard drive to boot up.
First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

I have put new hard drive in - When booted up it says - Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

there can be two scenarios
1. the harddrive is not installed properly
2. the harddrive is not selected as the first boot device in the BIOS of the computer.

After you install new harddrive, you will have to reinstall the Operating System in the computer as well.

Seems like an issue with the hard drive.
Try resetting BIOS.
If that doesn't help, u will have to check whether your hard drive is good.

Computer beeping and saying reboot and select proper boot device

When you reboot, go to BIOS, restore factory BIOS settings. If that doesn't help, you'll need to reinstall your OS.
