Question about GE Profile Arctica Stainless Steel Top Freezer Refrigerator

1 Answer

I have a GE profile side by side fridge/freezer model PSS26NSTC I noticed that my freezer is running at 15F (setpoint 0) and my Fridge is running at 42F (setpoint 37). Any ideas? I can hear the compressor running when I open and close either door so it is trying to get to temp.

You probably have a sensor issues there are two one for the freezer one for the frig. Check your freezer temp it should be at 0 degress at manufactor setting. If the temp is below -10 you freezer sensor is bad. Otherwise your frig sensor is bad. CHECK FREEZER FIRST!!!

FRIG DOEN'T GET COLDER THAN 49, WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM,FREEZER WORKS GREAT (GE PROFILE) ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD-

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp control. Make sure the fan is running when the compressor runs. Make sure the vent(damper) opens and closes as you adjust the fridge temp control.
