You can order one of these but it will cost as much or more than anew motor.
Look in the yellow pages for a motor rebuild shop and they can probally fix you up with a used one that has been reconditioned.
Start your search with rebuilt pool motors, then widen it from there.

you can buy lengths of threaded bar at any bolt shop
just take along a sample of the broken bit so that he shop assistant can identify the thread
lengths come in 500mm or 900 mm
you can cut off the length that is required
double nut at one end using locktite thread will give you the desired fix

Have a craftsman belt sander. Armature bearings are bad. One end has a threaded drive pully which needs to come off to get the assembly out of the main housing. My guess is I need to remove end bearing to...

Be careful about putting the armature in a vice. Clamping it tight enough to pull a bearing may damage it. Now, if you have access to the first bearing, get a small bearing puller of this style http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WMR-W84551?seid=srese2 This is just an example to show what type should work. If there is not room for this, then there are other pullers made that have arms that will fit within the 1/8" clearance you have.

On the pulley, if it is a nut holding it on, then a regular socket will work. As stated be careful clamping the armature so as not to damage it. I would take a block of wood, say a scrap pc of 4x4 and bore a hole through it with a hole saw that closely matches the diameter of the armature. Cut it in half long ways, removing enough material so that when you use it to clamp the armature, the two half circle wood pcs don't touch. That way, it spreads the clamping force around a little more of the diameter of the armature.

If the actual pulley is threaded, then clamp the same way and you may have to rig something. Are there holes or slots in the pulley that a spanner wench would work on? There are several universal/adjustable spanner wrenches available for that type of thing. Check to make sure there is not a set screw in the hub of the pulley that keeps it locked from turning. A photo of this would make it easier to make suggestions.

How do you remove the crown gear?

The gear on the end of the armature is held on by a metric nut. The armature shaft is threaded. The larger gear is press fit onto the shaft. You need a hydrolic press to remove it.

I would get a needle file, pair of magnifying glasses, recut those threads as best I can, buy a new collet, and get her going. Or, buy the die for the threads, should be about 1/2 28? I know it is a fine thread, the die will be expensive, or take it to a machine shop and ask them to do it. But get the collet first so they can try it. The new armature is expensive, I replaced one once. I bent the armature.

I have a coleman powermate 6250 I need to remove the armature so I can change the oil seal on the crank. How do you remove this

Here is how I did it. First unscrew the bolt holding the armature to the crank. Measure the bolt length and thread sizing(mine was 5/16-24) Go to menard's or any hardware store and buy a piece of un-threaded rod the same diameter. Buy a die so you can thread the end of the rod. cut the rod one inch shorter than the bolt length and make a kerf in the end for a screw driver blade. Now measure the inside diameter of the armeture hole( mine was 3/8) I then took a 7/16 tap and threaded the end of the armeture. Now screw in the rod you made, then screw a bolt into the end of the armeture and this will push the armeture off the crank without damaging it.

On the armature is there a bolt that is press on,

A bolt is never pressed into a hole. Your question is not clear to me. Generally, a key & keyway is to keep the rotating item in time. Another means is to keep the rotating item from sliding off the shaft. Common ways:
1) set screw(s) from the item hub over the keyway and sometimes against the shaft
2) Bolt threaded into end of shaft, or nut screws over threaded end....mamy time it is a "LEFT Handed" thread (Turn counter clockwise to loosen)

Remove generator from engine

Pull the end off the generator and you will have to buy or borrow an armature puller to remove the armature. It threads into the end of the shaft and pushes it off. I've seen many people destroy their generator by prying with screwdrivers. The engine has a tapered shaft and is sort of useless for any other application other than a generator.
