Why does my darango shut off while driving?

If it's an exclamation point inside a triangle, it's called a master warning symbol. This is the Master Warning Light symbol. If this light is on, there will likely be text displayed as well on the instrument panel, or another warning light. Look for text in particular. It could very well point out something as serious as low oil pressure. If the engine is not running, you can't very well check your gauges, but you may have lost all oil pressure or overheated the engine. Recommend you consult a mechanic familiar with your model.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE YELLOW SYMBOL OIL PRESSURE WITH AN EXCLAMATION MARK

If you have a yellow oil pressure warning light displaying then you may have 2 problems
1. Your oil level is way too low and needs topping up which very often means you are a sloppy owner that does not bother to regularly check the oil level in the engine and probably the other fluids as well.

2. There is a problem with the oil pressure and it is below the minimum needed to lubricate the engine.

What you need to do:

1. Check the oil level and top it up to the max level with the correct grade and type of oil as specified by Toyota for that engine.
Do not overfill the sump.
2. Check to see if the oil pressure warning is continuing to display when the sump has been filled to the correct level. If you still have the oil pressure warning you need to have it investigated and the cause of the low pressure rectified otherwise you will destroy your engine if you continue to run it with less than minimum pressure. A mechanic needs in the first place to connect an independent oil pressure gauge to the engine to check the actual pressure readings. This will also eliminate any possibility that there is an issue with the oil pressure sensor and sender unit (which is not likely). .

I have a cup and saucer with markings on the bottom that are crossed swords with an "s" below the swords. i don't know who the maker is.

Hi Sally....I love stuff like this - I have two possible answers.
(1) Crossed swords with an S below the maker is Sampson,
Edme of Paris, France. Late 19th C.
(2) Crossed swords with an S below but with an asterisk type
symbol between the blades is Caughley of England 1775-99.
I hope you have #2.. Whichever one it is take good care of it.

Dennis

Making too much noise when sewing how do i oil the machine

there maybe a few holes marked in red, that is where you should place a drop of oil. else open the top cover and the side cover where the light bulb is. Then turn the wheel by hand to see moving parts and place another drop of oil where there are holes that allow oil to get to the shafts of the moving parts.

Light

This is the "Low Oil Pressure Warning" light. It is RED for a reason! When this light (or any RED warning light for that matter) comes on, pull over and shut the engine OFF at once. Allowing the engine to run with insufficient oil pressure can cause a catastrophic failure in mere seconds. Such a failure can cost thousands of dollars to repair.
This warning is most often the result of a very low oil level as indicated when checking on the oil dipstick. The engine oil level should be maintained as close to the "full" mark as possible - without exceeding it. Oil should never be allowed to drop below the "low" mark on the dipstick. If the oil level is shown to be between full and low, the light is probably coming on as a result of a faulty oil pump (the oil level should be checked with the vehicle parked on level ground, with the engine OFF). A faulty oil pump is unable to pump the oil with enough pressure to reach all the moving parts of the engine that require lubrication. Without proper lubrication, connected moving parts heat up, expand and seize. Moving parts are expected to move - not be prevented from moving.
If your engine shut down, it may be the result of some of the internal parts seizing. Hopefully, this is not the case. Check the oil level and top off as needed to bring the level up and attempt to start the engine and have the vehicle checked by a trusted mechanic.
Good luck!

How to oil a singer 457

Every few weeks you should put a drop of oil in the opening of the bobbin case (visible when the bobbin is out) after cleaning that area. (This is to the center front of the bobbin case.)

Every few months, you need to put oil (just a drop) on several points inside the face plate. One spot is high (near the thread take up lever when in its highest position). Then oil the upper shaft of the needle and presser foot mechanism and at the top of the section with the screw midway down the shaft (the farther back). Add a drop of oil at the bottom of the shafts (two spots), Additionally put a drop of oil farther right near the thread path.

Once a year, remove the top cover and place a drop of oil at both holes on the top. (One is near but to the right of the main spool pin; the other is near the thread guide at the take up lever.) Put a drop of oil at the hole at the center right of the deck of the sewing machine (right next to the motor and below the stitch width selector). With the top cover off, there are a number of spots that need oil. One is near the center of the machine at the take up lever (top of shaft). The next is at the center of the stitch width cam. Place another drop of oil at the top of the lever that rests against this cam. Place a drop of oil at the bottom of the lower gear (the one that turns in the horizontal plane). Also oil three points to the right of the vertical gear. (These are the two sections on the shaft to the right of the gear and the point in that same line just to the right of the screw to the back of the area.) Remove the bottom of the sewing machine and oil seven points (three to the left and 4 on the right). Do this carefully - you do not want to get oil on the motor or the belt. These points are on the left: on the shafts near screws at the top and bottom and one spot near the center just in front of the belt. For the points near the screws, the one further up is closer to the left edge of the nachine. On the right side: two points above the belt. One is right next to the belt and one is on the shaft below a screw (this shaft continues to the lowest oiling point on the left side).

The manual for the Singer 457 is available from Singer as a PDF: http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/5d6ce627c00cb91c477d4703f1b704aab08a72c8.pdf . See the diagrams starting on page 53 (page 55 of the pdf) for the exact oiling points. I tried to explain these spots but I usually grab the manual for the pictures for my machine for the yearly oiling. You can buy a copy of the manual from Singer for $15 here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals/ . Enter the model number without any extra letters at the end of the model number. Then click Search.

I hope this helps.

How do u set the timing on a oil pump for a 76 harley sportster xlh 1000 lay down pump

On the oil pump shaft housing, just below the gear, there's a small square slot cut out of the housing. If you rotate the oil pump shaft, you'll see a dot on the shaft. You want this dot on the shaft in the slot in the housing when the Top Dead Center mark is in the timing hole on the other side of the engine. You have to install the oil pump like you would a distributor. You turn the dot away from the hole and when you put the pump into position, the oil pump drive gear turns the shaft while the pump goes up on the studs. When you get seated, the marks should be aligned.

Good Luck

Yellow oil can lit means you need to top up the oil. Red oil can means you have lost oil pressure.
