Yes if its leaking into the tub when not operating you need a new fill mix valve. No its easy to replace .First unplug unit Next shut off water supply at the wall remove the fill hoses from the washer side. their are 3 screws holding the top cover in place remove these and slide the top back towards the rear and remove. Now their is 1 screw that secures the valve to the back panel remove, and slide the valve sideways to release now all you have to do is unplug wiring from the old valve to the new one, then disconnect the hose on the end of the old valve and hook up to the new one .Now you can put the new valve back in place remember to slide sideways or your retaining screw will not line up.reinstall fill hoses turn on water and check for leaks... LOT of words but it is an easy repair and you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself GOOD LUCK

My Bosch classixx washing machine is overflowing

Bad water pressure switch or bad water inlet valve? does it have or leak water in the tub when not in use? ( inlet valve) sometimes the pressure switch tube has a hole or blockage in it and will not have the pressure needed to open diaphram and go into wash cycle and it may overflow

Water is spraying from ice maker

This seems to be a popular problem. First I would unplug the fridge and plug it back in, sometimes it will reset the control and the solonoid for the water fill will stop.v if it does not stop that may be the water fill timer contacts are fused shut which means you need a new control board. I would also check the water basin for a float or water sensing probe. If they are dirty or damaged then it will not sense the water level and keep filling. I would also check the water fill valve to make sure it is not stuck open. If it is the board it might be easier to shut the water off and buy ice, they can be pricey. Good luck

Maytag washer does not shut off after filling the tub

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
normally when this happnes this means that the water inlet valve is leaking by and needs to be changed see what happnes is that there is a solinoid for the cold and 1 for the hotand after time theyse solinoid valves will start to wear out along with the internal parts of the valve this is a very common thing that happnes to washing machines ok so i would first check this valve out and get it replaced then if this still doesent fix the problem than you may have a problem with your water level switch that determines the water level in the machine and senses when it has the proper amount of water in it normally the onluy thing that goes wrong with these is that they tend to stick evey once in a while or they go out all to gether and need to be repaced but this is fairly uncommon (but it does happen) ok ?
Hope this helps you out
Best regards Mike

I have a model lse7806ace maytag stackable washer/dryer unit. Initially, the washer would not do anything. I replaced the lid switch and it then filled and agitated at the same time... but when it went...

Ok , when you pull out the washer knob to start it the water fills . Can you stop the filling by pushing the knob in? if so the water valve is ok.
There is a sensing tube from the tub which connects to the pressure switch. This is what causes the water level pressure switch to shut off at the correct level. I would suspect this as they replaced the pressure switch and it keeps filling. If this is the case there is a small hole which will cause the pressure switch not to turn off the fill valves.

You can check this by removing the tube and submerging it in some water then blow in the tube while blocking the other end , if you see bubbles it is leaking and needs replacing.Hope this helps

After the wash cycle is over im finding water inside the machine. it seems to be filling up after the clothes are taken out.

Let's do some trouble shooting to eliminate various possibilities:

Can you find the shut off valves behind the Washing Machine?

Next time, when you are done with a load of wash, and won't be using it for awhile, SHUT OFF both the Hot and the Cold water valves (See the long black hoses going from the valves , into the machine?

(I suggest taping a small sign on the Washing Machine lid-- So you will remember to open the valves before you do your next load of wash!-- A Washing machine has a hard time washing, with the water valves shut off! :-) )

Did that stop the water in the machine bowl?

If that worked-- Then next time-- just shut off the HOT water valve-- see if it still stops the water in the bottom---
Then try the Cold Water valve-- Manually shutting off one valve each time..)

Now you may have learned WHICH of the Solenoid valve in the machine is leaking...

Do you want to dig into trying to fix our replace the valve?

Let us know-- and we can go deeper into the repair.

My 1997 sunfire will not start when it rain, gets damp out or get cold...was told i need 2 new coils, 4 spark plugs, ignition wire and a valve changed...also told i have a gas leak and need a new gas...

Gas leak & tank would be my top priority. Try some ignition spray from autoparts store to get you by for now, as far as wires etc go, but get that fuel leak problem fixed first.

Fills up when not on

you have a leaky water valve it leaks because one of the solenoids in the valve is stuck open, the unit senses the water in the drum from the leak and therefore must be drained before it can start a new cycle, replace the water valve.

My washer (Whirlpool StyleMaster 907675) is leaking into the wash basin (inside where the clothes are placed)constantly, without any drainage. This is when the machine is off, and it simply drips water...

This usually indicates that there is a problem with the inlet water valve. This can only be corrected by replacing the valve. It is attached to the plastic hose connections on the inside of the washer.

A quick temporary fix is to shut the main valves off behind the washer when it is not in use. This may be a little inconvenient until the problem is fixed. It will still leak a little but not enough to worry about.

The valve itself is not too expensive is should cost between $10 and $35. The labour charge will be what is standard in your area. Possibly around $100. About 1 hour labour.
