Question about Acer Aspire 3624WXCi Notebook

1 Answer

I have 2 problems with my ACER 3624WXCi . I have a problem with my laptop audio. The audio doesn't work (when I click on the sound volume icon, a message says that no audio driver mixer devices are installed). Sometimes, when I restart the computer, the audio works for some time, but it stutters and lags in sound quality. I also have a problem with my wireless card too. Whenever I put my laptop to sleep/hibernate it and turn it back on, the wireless detection doesn't work, and to get it back on I restart the computer.

As regards you problem one. Go to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. here locate the sound card under Sound and delete the card. Reboot the laptop and reach the same place again. Now from the Menu go to Action->Scan for New HW. The laptop will detect the sound card and load its drivers again. Now you are on. Second problem. I have a Sony Vaio and two Dell Studio laptops. They also behave the same way. I have to reboot after hibernation to get to the net. Irrespective of WiFi or dial up connections. I suppose the laptops are made that way. Now I have made it a habit to Turn Off the laptops.

What type of laptop HP , ASUS , COMPAQ , ACER ?..........
Up the Volume on My HP Laptop
Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel" icon.
Locate and open the icon that deals with sound.
Depending on your version of Windows, it will say either "Sounds and Audio Devices" or "Adjust System Volume."
Adjust the volume under the "Speakers" icon.
To do this, click on the slider bar and move it up on the slider.
If you need to decrease the volume, simply move the slider bar down.
Click on "OK" when finished and close the "Control Panel" window.
Click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen for a faster volume adjustment. Simply move the slider bar up to increase the volume and move it back down to decrease the volume.

Volume on an Acer Laptop
Acer laptops are typically sold with pre-installed Windows operating systems that offer sound-adjustment features for increasing the volume on the laptop's built-in stereo speakers.
These same functions can also be used in tandem with external speakers or headphones to increase the volume, as well as mute all sound on the laptop.
If the computer should output an unusually low volume, fixing the problem may be no more involved than sliding a control switch with the computer mouse. Click once on the speaker icon in the taskbar on the lower-right corner to open a rectangular window with a slide control.
Click and hold the left mouse button on the slide control to drag it upward, increasing the volume to the laptop's maximum setting.
Click the "Mixer" button below the slider control to open another window with volume controls for "Speakers" and "Applications," adjusting each slide control upward to increase the volume.
Be sure the speaker icon below each control is not accidentally muted.
Click once on each speaker icon to remove the red circle with a slash through it, which will restore audio.
Click the Microsoft flag or "Start" button in the lower-left corner if the shortcut speaker icon is missing from the taskbar.
Click "Control Panel" to select "Adjust Sounds" from the Hardware and Sounds category.

How to change soubd tone on acer aspire one

  • Find out which audio controller is installed on the system. Go to the "Control Panel" and double-click on the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. Click on the "Audio" tab to see what is listed for the default device for sound playback.
  • Download driver and software updates directly from Acer's website (see Resources). Save the files to a folder, and then run the setup program to install the software.

  • Download and install a new software driver for your laptop's on-board audio controller. Many audio controllers in Acer Aspire laptops use the AC97 Audio Codec driver. Go to the Realtek website and click on the "Downloads" tab to see available software (see Resources).

  • Adjust the sound using the Master Volume setting. Right-click on the audio icon on the toolbar and select "Open Volume Control." Use the Master Volume and Wave input settings to adjust the volume of the audio that is being heard.

  • Use a software program such as the Realtek Sound Effect Manager to control and adjust the laptop's audio settings. There should be an icon on the desktop or toolbar, but you can also find the program in the Control Panel as well. The program contains an equalizer with presets to choose from as well as mixer and audio I/O options.

I have an acer laptop and i have an echoe in my sound... im not sure what the problem is. there is an internal mic i believe. help please! lol

Try right clicking on yout Volume Icon in the system tray (where your clock is). Click on Open Volume Control.
Make sure you have some audio playing, then just go through each channel and mute each one, 1 by 1 until the echo has gone.
If that don't work, then again, right click on Volume Icon in Tray, click on Adjust Audio Properties, then under speaker settings, select advance, then choose Desktop Stereo Speakers, under the Speaker Setup Options.

One of those should work. If it is your Mic causing the Echo, then you would get loads of feedback if you whack up the volume. If you don't get the feedback, then it's more then likely the Speaker Setup or some Sound FX is enabled through your Sound Card Software.
