Question about Briggs & Stratton Lawn-Boy 10640 20-Inch 6.5 HP Gas Powered Lawn Mower
Within the carburetor on your engine, is a float that is attatched to a needle valve with a rubber seat that the needle presses up against. As fuel goes into the carb, the float is lifted and the needle shuts off the fuel flow against the seat. In your carb, either the float is not floating, or the needle is not sealing against the seat. The solution is to either clean and rebuild the carburetor, or replace the carburetor. I also recommend to replace the air filter since it has been gas fouled.
