Please explain the cabling you have installed on the router and computer and to the DSL or cable modem. The router's configuration address is 192.168.1.1 it is not the Linksys WEB site.

Hello,
If you are unable to go to linksys homepage or router page ,which means either the cables are not connected properly or the router is not functioning as the light does not blink.Try to hit the reset button on the router and redo the cabling.

Thankyou

Hi there,

This issue is called no sync issue. Which means there is no synchronisation between your computer and the router.

Try Changing the Microfilter
swap the Leds of the cabel which is connected between the router and the computer.
Call your internet service provider if issue is not fixed.

Unable to get to the setup wizard for my d link wireless router

Start by looking at the lights blinking on the router. Which ones are blinking? How are they blinking?

WHen you've assured yourself of that the router is working properly, open a command prompt (windows button + R) and then type CMD, You will now get a command based interface, type ipconfig /all - And try every single adress that pops up in your browser.

I have linksys router,it's connect with lan cabel but without lan cable router unable to connect to my laptop

All routers need to have a ethernet cord from the ISP Device. Most people run Laptops Wireless from there routers or if its stationary run another ethernet cord from an open port behind the router to your laptop.

NETGEAR ROUTER DG834N

since the wireless light is not glowing what we can do is we can go ahead and reset the wireless router,
look at the bottom of the router and you will see the routers labelling, check where the reset button is located,it will be on the back where you have the port, use a paper clip or something that is pointed and hold it down for about 30 sec you will see that all the lights will blink on the router, leave the reset button after that power off the router for 60 sec and then power it on....check if the wireless light is on....it shud be on now..

Router Security Light is Blinking

Hello,
I have the same symptoms. In my opinion, this is done because you turned your Belkin from a router to access point position. I did it also (issues with adsl modem/router). By manual the flashing diod means no secure device. But, without pass you can't access your Belkin. So, probably, some fault in firmaware.

Nice day.

When i hook up ther router my internet connection is lost

Did you install the routers software? It should have had step by step instructions to walk you through the procedure of connecting all of your computers, hard wired and wireless, to it. If you've followed the steps, and it still doesn't connect, turn off everything involved, the computer, router and if there is a separate modem. Then, power the broadband modem on first, wait until the lights all stop blinking, then the router, then finally the computer. Most of the time the tech support for your broadband connection will help you connect, up to a certain point, if still unable to connect they will refer you to contact the manufacturer of the router.

Try the reset button on the unit or leave it unplugged for 5 or so minutes. If you are using the provided software that came with the router and its not letting you in the router, type in your web browser address bar 192.168.1.1 (no www.needed), if you still cannot get in run the instalation cd again for access. If you are still unable to get in check that you have the similair ip address on your network card, eg 192.168.1.2 because if you have run the repair connection in windows it is set to a 198.xxx.x.x address so you wont be able to see the router. To check this go to control panel network connections, right click, properties then on the TCP/IP line, click properties, then make sure obtain ip address automatically is ticked. All this will have to be done via your network cable not wirelessly, only when set up can you use wireless again.
