Simple tech 80 gb I am trying to view my pictures stored, but it says driver installed but only shows under the "devices" in devices and printers folder...Doesn't show where the different drives are??

If this is a windows system, you'll have to re-connect it. Go to disk management and re allocate it Just think of it like a vacuum cleaner with an electric cord. The cord needs to be plugged into the wall to work. This hard drive (it sounds, I'm not for sure) sounds like it lost it's virtual link (power cord) to the mother board. It's simply a matter of "plugging it back in"

I have installed a xp3 in my system , and driver also, but there is no sound. but when we installed xp2 and same driver than its ok........... my system mother board from biostar company

You can find the driver for the sound card here:

But you have to know the exact mainboard number.

You can find the number by installing this small program from here:

Select the english setup.

It does not harm to upgrade the other drivers also.

Hope this was helpfull.

Windows Xp2 is installed on P3 system. Using mother board CD audio drives are Installed but no sound.

Check the basics for like the Volume settings, mute and volume buttons on your keyboard, and the file that you are trying to play. Try a different file like music, video from different resources such as cd, MP3 players, and online. If that wont still work, try to check if there would be sound when an external speaker is plugged in. If it works then you need to replace the internal speakers. If not, then it could be the sound card that is having the problem. Before replacing it, which means you need to replace the whole motherboard if it is onboard, and just the sound card if its just an expansion, I suggest you try System restore to a date when your computer was working fine. If that one wont work, back up files first, then try reformatting the operating system. If still it doesn't work, you may want to replace sound card or the motherboard.

Sound problem!

May be too basic, but first : 1. Check whether you have installed speakers in the Speaker Out socket 2. Speakers are powered on properly, try on another system for confirmation if possible. 3. Check whether your Microsoft XP with Service Pack 2 ? If not, install SP2 first and try reloading the drivers. 4. Drivers are available at : Thanks, Rajesh
