You need to complete the alignment procedure, by clicking next, doing a scan of alignment printout and getting to the end of the alignment process, or the software will keep asking for the alignment procedure to complete.
Ensure that the account that you are using has not limited user, but administrator settings.

Try to do the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer. On the printer touchscreen, touch Ink Levels > More Options > Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, please contact the Lexmark Technical Support Center or point your browser to for online technical assistance.

It could be due to an outdated firmware version or a poor connection between the printhead and carrier contacts. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. From the printer control panel, touch Ink Levels > More Options > Replace Printhead.

2. Open the printer cover. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer/unplug the printer from the power source and then slide the carrier to the center.

3. Press the tab, and lift the latch. Pull up to remove the printhead. Close the printer cover then turn off the printer/unplug the printer from the power source.

4. Turn the printer back on. It will ask you to "Open Cover to Install the Printhead". Press the Home icon. It should take you back to the "Copy" menu.

5. Proceed with the firmware update. Just go to

6. Once the firmware update is successful, firmly re-insert the printhead.

If problem continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Lexmark c782 ps printer has printerhead error..108.10

If this is the firsttime the error has occurred, try turning the printer off. Let it sit turned off for atleast 20 seconds before powering it back on. If powering the printer offand back on clears the error, continue using the printer but watchit to see if any printhead errors return. If your printer continues todisplay a Printhead Error message, make sure it is plugged straight tothe wall and not through a surge device or power strip. Power strips anduninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage problem in your printer. This can trigger a printhead error even if the printer has worked on this surgedevice for months.
If theprinter continues to post a 930 Printhead Error, it thinks thewrong printhead unit is installed. If the printer was recentlyserviced, make sure the correct parts were used. This is especially true if theparts replaced were either the printhead unit or the printer's engine/systemboard. It is in one of these two parts that the printer is detecting theproblem. Note: If you are the personrepairing such a printer, please be aware that parts from different, though similar, printer models may not be compatible with this printer. Also make sure to check the laser cable going from the printer's engine boardto the printhead unit, as it reads that signal. If the printer was notrecently serviced before this error occurred and powering the printer off andon does not help, the printhead unit and possibly the laser cable or theengine/system board to this printer may need to be replaced.
If the printer continues topost a 931 Printhead Error, it thinks there is an error in the signalgoing to the laser or the Hsync part of the printhead assembly. If the printer continues topost a 932 Printhead Error, it thinks there is an Hsync error occurringin the printhead assembly. If the printer continues topost a 933 Printhead Error, it thinks there is a failure in either theHsync signal or with the mirror motor unit of the printhead. If the printer continues topost a 934 Printhead Error, it thinks there is a "lock"failure with the mirror motor assembly within the printhead assembly. If the printer continues topost a 935 Printhead Error, it thinks the mirror motor unit within theprinthead unit cannot reach its operating speed.
If powering the printer offand on does not clear any of these errors and it is alreadyconnected directly to the wall, your printer may require service. Itcould have a defective printhead unit or there might be a problem with theengine board or one of the printhead cables. Note:If you are the person repairing such a printer, check all of the cablesgoing from the printer's engine board to the printhead unit for any damage. Also check the continuity across these cables.

There are bars like black, sometimes magenta that appears in my printouts where there should not be. there are some instances the bars continuously prints from top to bottom of my paper.

Depending in your printer type, it seems to be realated to printhead issues.
The usual way to clear is out is printing a test page, and clean the printhead. This is not a physical cleaning, so dont try alcohol. Depending on your printer you might damage it.
Some printers will include a software so you can align the printhead or run a automated cleaning, or you might have the option on the printer properties from the computer control panel if using a pc, or the utilities if using a mac.

For futher information we need to know the printer brand and model. You computer operating system (Windows xp/vista/7 or Mac OS) is an important piece of information too.

Hello my Epson Stylus CX6600 is printing out blank pages, ran nozzle check and Head cleaning, also head allignment, still print blank pages, need help please

if the printers been sitting for some time, the printhead has dried up "not good" printheads generally retail around $100, you can try soaking the bottom of the printhead in metho which may fix some colors but you would be pretty lucky to get all them to work.

Printouts are not straight.

Kindly reseat the cartridges 2 times and then close the access door .Click on Menu on the printer and scroll down and choose Clean printhead and select "deep cleaning"
Print a demo sheet after the cleaning process has been completed. After that do a printhead alignment. If ur issue persists, Call Kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace printhead of the printer free of cost.
Printhead is the part which takes the ink out from the cartridges. Probably the printhead of the printer has gone bad.

HP D135 - replaced printhead - still doesn't print in that color

try this link : I followed the directions and fixed the problem. the instructions that came with the new printhead weren't really complete.

Here's essentially all I did for my fix - Opened the printer top, turned the printer off. Removed the "bad" printhead, cleaned the metal contacts on the printhead and printer with windex. Closed the printer. Turned it on. waited for it to reset. Opened the printer. Turned the printer off again. Installed the printhead. Closed the lid. Plugged the printer in again. When it was ready I accessed the HP toolbox and alligned the printheads and cleaned the printheads. It worked. Here's a link with photos.

How to clean printheads

There are two things that you can do...
Clean printheads, because of ink buildup, or clean the heads and contacts because of debris buildup.
  1. Clean the printheads; this is done when there is streaking in the printout
    1. Press Menu
    2. Press 7 (Status Maintenance Menu)
    3. then 2 (Clean Printheads)
    4. Check print out. If it's still bad, then replace the printhead that's not working.
  2. Clean the ink cartridge contacts
    1. Using a clean lint-free cloth, distilled or filtered water (no tap water)
    2. Open the print-cartridge access door
    3. After cartridges are in center, unplug unit
    4. Remove the cartridges
    5. Examine contacts for debris buildup
    6. With damp cloth clean any debris buildup on cartridge or in cartridge bed
    7. Repeat for others
    8. Replace all and turn on printer
    9. Message will appear to Re-align heads, press enter to do this
