Question about Goodman CLJ30AR32 Air Conditioner
The unit is freezing up due to the indoor fan not running. This could be because of several things. First turn off the power and see if the indoor fan turns freely. If it doesn't you may be able to oil it but more than likely it will need to be replace. If that's OK then check the capacitor for the fan motor. If it looks swollen, it's bad. You can test it with a multimeter with the capacitor test function. If that checks out OK then you need to check the fan motor windings using a multimeter on the resistance function. An open winding means the motor needs to be replaced. If the motor is connected to a circuit board, the problem could be the circuit board. You would need to check for voltage at the motor connections on the circuit board.
