    Hello Ginko,

I'm sorry, but it does not help.

The same problem. I see leds activity on the A/C receiver, but it does not turn on.

Do you have some another solution?

  • leonid_kuril Sep 10, 2010

The problem is still not solved. Need your aasistance.

  • leonid_kuril Sep 11, 2010

    Sure.

As I already wrote, there is some receiver leds activity when I try to turn in the A/C by the remote.

So, there is no problem with the batteries polarity or something like this. I downloaded the datasheet of the remote but not found there any information about units sinchronization. The DIP-switch is in the following states:

TAC-404 + Sweep + ∞C (Default Code) ON OFF OFF OFF OFF ON OFF

    What my be a problem?

You will want to go into your user manual and look up the remote control commands I would assume it may have a few just in case something else in your house was using the same frequency it should provide you with options for selecting a channel with the remote if you need any help finding a manual do to losing your own we can help with that as well

hope this helps

It is possible that your battery had leaked out into the board .this might have caused shorting in the circuits and changed the frequency output to the IR( infra red) emitters.
So open the board and clean well , possibily wash with petrol and dry.
If not solder the sections of the controller IC and the crystal and try again.
Lastly you can try to change the crystal to confirm or else the controller IC can be defective.

Hi.

If the remote is the original one, then they should not need re-sync. The IR receiver on AC is set on same fixed frequency code assumedly used by the remote.

Try to cut power to the AC completely (trip circuit breaker or disconnect power cord, depending on the case). By draining power completely you will reset the AC electronics and this may fix the problem. Keep power off for about ten minutes. While power is off also remove remote batteries for one minute.

On my Air conditioner, there are no buttons for me to change controls on it, as well as the remote is not working. Could you possibly help me resolve this ? I put brand new batteries in it.

The remote is the only controller. Try turning off the power to the system at the breaker or o.d. disconnect, wait about 10 mins(at least 5) and then turn power back on. This should reset the system and if it has the controller locked out, should reset it also. If not, the remote may be damaged. Or I.d. unit sensing capabilities are damaged. Make sure the battery terminals in the remote are not corroded or broken and the batteries are new/hot. If the indoor unit has had water leak issues it may have damaged the sensor inside the air handler. I'm not sure what unit you have, window unit or mini split

Hi,

There was no danger and you were in no danger....the batteries just got juggled around in such a way that they were shorted out and discharging very rapidly...

Replace the batteries with new ones and install them correctly and everything will be fine...

Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioner not turning on.

On some remotes there is a reset button which is pressed by using the nib of a pen. Or if this does not work you should look under the cover for a manual button, most units have one, and see if the aircon responds. I suspect your remote sensor is faulty, but try the previous suggestions first.

Air Conditioner will not turn off with remotes

Remote control has a reset button found in front or at back inside battery compartment. If you replace your remote control with battery or your remote control is malfunctioning you to reset it.

You don't have to go outside to turn off the unit, you can "on" or "off" the unit using the emergency operation switch.

Some some remote control have RST or RESET button, you have to push this every time you change the battery or for malfunction remote control. You can find this either in front of remote control or at the back of the remote in battery compartment.
