You might have run the battery too low, or it might be disconnected. try just letting the laptop sit plugged in for awhile, with the battery out to charge the machine, and to let the battery cool down. Then reinsert the battery and let that charge for a little bit and try again. Either that or you might have dropped it or let it get too hot. If it's too hot, let it cool down. If you dropped it, take it to a tech, a wire might be loose.
